I am disgusted by this heartless decision of @CAgovernor @GavinNewsom. Today, Governor Newsom has told the families of murder victims across California that the lives of the worst of the worst killers in our state are worth more than the lives of the innocent people they murdered. With a single decision, he has moved to erase the death sentence of every one of the 548 condemned inmates in California. It is an insult to every victim's family, and I condemn it in the strongest possible terms.
Every one of those sentences was reached the way justice is always reached: one case at a time. A jury convicted each defendant of first-degree murder, found at least one special circumstance true beyond a reasonable doubt, weighed the evidence in a separate penalty trial, and chose death. A trial judge reviewed each verdict, and the California Supreme Court reviewed each case on automatic appeal. It appears that the Governor set all of that aside without examining the facts of a single case.

I think Trump crapped the bed on this too. I'm with you. That being said, be very careful. This man (and his cabinet) is now the only thing standing between us and utter chaos. Ironically, we need him now more than ever and it's not pretty but that's just the way it is.

I was too shell-shocked to post about the midterms last night, but here are my thoughts. Not that anybody cares.
1.President Trump needs to take a big chunk of the blame. The name-calling, the Liberace gold Oval Office, the massive marble ballroom, the Biden autopen photo, the handling of the Epstein files, the Hollywood-like portrayal of ICE under Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino. The absolute swing and miss with Pam Bondi and zero accountability. The “Golden Age” talk, and dismissing “affordability” as a Democrat con job. The Trump meme coins and family enrichment even if it is technically legal. The Iran war that you’ve been saying will be over soon for the past 8 months as gas and diesel skyrocket. All of that looks/is terrible while families are really struggling to make ends meet. A lot of his tactics have been tone-deaf at best.
2.Weak and disgraceful @LeaderJohnThune and the corrupt do-nothing-but-vacation @SenateGOP RINOs who blocked recess appointments as over 100 bills that got passed by the House died in the Senate. Zero codification on the mandate we handed you. The ultimate betrayal.
3.The bought-and-paid-for “right-wing” large-account talking heads on social media who started an internal party war. And our mainstream media is the enemy of the people.
4.The new Left truly scares me. Islam, illegals, socialism, communism, assassinations, the looting of our tax dollars, and abolish, abolish, abolish.
5.The Left won big last night, but I don’t think they realize what that means. These people are going to expect monumental change, and now! You think we were hard on Thune and the GOP Senate? You just wait—that was playing patty-cake compared to what these crazies will demand. And honestly, I don’t think that entails spending their whole time investigating the Trump administration. They meant that affordability shit.
6.Our schools are failing miserably because half this country has the IQ of a turnip and the foresight of a goldfish.
I still love my country, but I’m tired, man.

The firefighter didn’t flinch. He swung his Halligan tool and dropped him with one hit.
Police moved in and restrained the man while witnesses watched.
Charging a firefighter holding a Halligan was a terrible decision.
