Stop making yourself cheaper just to feel chosen.
Your audience’s trust is too valuable to trade for a brand’s approval.
Being chosen is flattering.
Being valued is the standard.

What we call impossible is usually just something we have yet to fully commit to.
To my entrepreneurs out there, are you ready to commit to overcoming your "impossible" problem?
Then I want to see you on October 23 in Brooklyn.

Happy birthday to my best friend, my brother, and my mentor. Love u @RobertIrvine !!! It’s time for a few Robert Irvine’s!!!!

***TEAM IRVINE TAKEOVER***
That's right, this message doesn't come from Robert; he gave the keys to his social media channels to his employees to post occasional announcements and such, and we've commandeered those accounts today because we want to wish the big guy a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Here's the thing: There is a Robert that you know from TV and charitable functions who is gracious and humble and helpful and all those wonderful things. The REAL Robert? Guys, the real Robert is even better. He's everything you see on TV and so much more. He's a guy who is the first to call you when he knows something is wrong, a guy who loves his adopted country and his family more than anything, and treats his friends (and employees) like they're part of that family, too. He's the best guy to hit the gym with, go on a road trip with, or have a tequila with.
But when you're a guy like that—a guy who is always giving—well, it's hard for us to escape the sense that sometimes he gives too much of himself. So today, if just for one day, we want to give something back to him, even if it's just a great big digital hug from all of us, and all of you.
So will you help us out? Post below how you really feel about Robert. He'll read it all. He always does.
Happy birthday, boss. We don't know anybody better.

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Robert Irvine Foundation—one we've been working toward for a long time.
Fuel to Serve, our five-year partnership with USAA, is built around a simple idea: when it comes to our military, food is never just food. It is essential to readiness.
It is physical health, community building, and even mental health support.
We're starting at Fort Bragg and in the Washington, D.C. region, learning what works, measuring the impact, and building a model designed to reach military families far beyond those first communities.
I am immensely proud of the Robert Irvine Foundation team and everyone at USAA for helping bring this to life.
This is just the beginning.

Forever after there would only be life before that day, and life after that day. September 11 tore apart thousands of families-who still carry with them an unfathomable grief-and shattered a generation, initiating decades of war and transferring an incalculable burden onto the shoulders of our armed forces and their families.
Never forget is not a slogan. We owe it to the heroic firemen and police officers-who continue to pay the price for their selflessness-and to the men and women who wear the cloth of our nation, to use this day to remember the fallen and honor the countless sacrifices made in defense of this great nation.
For too many Americans, the hole in our lives where our loved ones used to be is so big that forgetting will never be an option. The rest of us cannot fill that space, but there is one thing we can do, which is why I call on all of you to carry on the promise and never forget.
As a kid, I wanted to be Darryl Strawberry.
The swing. The power. The swagger.
Decades later, I got to sit across from him.
And I learned something:
I wanted to be the player then.
I respect the man even more now.
Darryl Strawberry. Mick Unplugged. Tomorrow.
This one is special.

First, the kids planted basil. Then they learned to take care of it and what to do with it once it grows.
Then everybody made pizza.
Chef Jacquelyn Guasemel is a mom and a veteran, and she runs Robert Irvine Foundation cooking classes for military families with the parents and the kids in the kitchen together. Groceries are expensive. Fresh, nutritious food can be the first thing to go. These classes are about simple recipes and techniques that work on a real budget.
At a recent class at the USO at Fort Belvoir, three families cooked together. The kids built confidence, learned what goes into a good meal, and had fun doing it with their parents.
Thank you to the Fort Belvoir USO for making it happen.

AI won’t care. People do.
@MickUnplugged said something on PodCrash that stuck with me. He won’t use AI to replace his team.
I’m all in on AI, but for me, the opportunity is using it to make great people even better.
Technology can make the work easier. Great people still make the difference.

Your team doesn’t follow your advice. They follow your standard.
Pressure just reveals what that standard really is.
Every time things get hard, your team is watching how you show up, how you respond and what you’re willing to accept.
@MickUnplugged breaks down how the standard you set as a leader shapes the company you build, only on PodCrash.

A real “no” is worth more than a fake “yes.”
@MickUnplugged and I talked about why the best salespeople don’t chase the yes. They build enough trust to get the truth.
For me, leadership is no different. Your people need to feel comfortable telling you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear.
That’s trust.
