This week, 18-year-old Billingham lad Ethan Strike received the devastating news that he has terminal cancer.
Weโre incredibly proud of our โultrasโ, who travelled to Darlington yesterday and showed their support not only for the club, but for someone who is a close friend to many of them.
Ethan is facing an unimaginable situation with incredible dignity and courage. His family have set up a fundraiser to help support Ethan and give them the opportunity to make as many memories together as possible.
Over the last few weeks, thousands of new people have followed Billingham Town from all over the world. Many of you have asked how you can support the club from afar.

Soak in one hell of a pre-match atmosphere via the BBC's coverage of England v Germany at Euro 96. In my forthcoming book (Euro 96: The Full Story) Barry Davies says he didn't realise he was going to be called into action so early:
'Des Lynam handed over to me in commentary very early. No one told me he was going to do that. I decided this was a heck of a good thing because the noise from the crowd was building up and the song was being sung all over Wembley. I didnโt say anything for, well when I listened back to it, it felt like an eternity. It was about ten minutes. I had no idea he was going to come to me so early. Nobody told me. Maybe they thought theyโd do that because Iโd said in the past that thereโs too much chat before the game โ that problem has only got worse since! The noise that night though and the supporters were tremendous.' #euro96

3. AFC Fourth Round
Six teams were divided into two groups of three for the fourth round of AFC World Cup Qualifying:
Qatar๐ถ๐ฆ
United Arab Emirates๐ฆ๐ช
Oman๐ด๐ฒ
Saudi Arabia๐ธ๐ฆ
Iraq๐ฎ๐ถ
Indonesia๐ฎ๐ฉ
For no justifiable reason, the AFC decided to grant Qatar and Saudi Arabia hosting rights for their respective groups. Thatโs instead of using a neutral venue (As CAF is doing for their second round), or simply having each time host one match.
In addition to that, both Qatar and Saudi Arabia had five days of rest between matches, while the other four nations had just two.
Why would FIFA/AFC favor Saudi Arabia? Well, Qatar hosted the 2022 World Cup, Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup, and they will always be the highest bidders.
Both Qatar and Saudi Arabia would go on to win their groups, qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

๐A message from the Old Boys ๐
Many will have seen the volunteers of Grangetown Boys Club have done fantastic work in recent weeks to install and renovate a new clubhouse.
As a group of Old Boys who have been involved in the club in various capacities over the years whether at the Boys Club Camp, Junior Football, Senior Football, Youth Work, Over 35s or just a good bunch of people who come along for a drink and catch-up... this gave us an idea.
What if, between us, we raised enough money for some signage to be installed in and around the new clubhouse so it could be called 'The Tiger'?
Both after the tiger stripes on the club crest and also a pub ran by Kenny Gatiss & Big Flee in which Iโm sure many will have frequented for a few jars over the years ๐ป
At ยฃ25 a person, the money donated would be placed straight into the club to fund the signage with any spare going towards improving the ground for anything else the club needs to develop our local stadium further.
The Boysie has a fantastic history, not only on the football field, but in other sports for girls, boys and the youth club which is still a massive part of the community today.
The Old Boys are also planning a get together on October 4th for the home match against Sunderland West End 3pm KO in which any former players or members from any other sports or sections are more than welcome to join us on the day
