Currently reworking the way MicroUnit generates diffs on assertion failure.
There was a lot of string formatting involved in places where it shouldn't be (like the assertion class itself).
Now only the Output classes worry about the formatting, making everything cleaner

In the upcoming beta release of MicroUnit for PHP8+ I am focusing on improving the build in mocking system.
Which means there are new assertion methods coming for mocks and also new methods that help with mocking a class just the way you need to !

Just added new assertion methods for mocks in MicroUnit !!
Now it's time for detailed testing before releasing them.
I am currently very much in need for feedback and contributions !!

Thanks man ! Being a zero dependency framework and coding everything from scratch can sometimes be a lot of work, but it sure does feel very rewarding once you get key features done. This is really going to push the framework one step closer to being out of beta soon.
Just got done adding support for mocking classes that have a constructor and defining alternate constructor behavior for my PHP8+ Unit Testing Framework MicroUnit.
Feel free to check it out (or even contribute if you have the time) !

Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think.
Every bit of feedback and every collaboration is very welcome !

Just released the new beta version of MicroUnit. This version fixes unintended behavior related to some fluent assertion methods and adds missing type hints for more clarity.
We are very keen on new collaborators, so feel free to join !

I was messing around with implementing a binary caching system for MicroUnit.
Got the POC done and realised it was very high maintance and requires a lot of time to fix when something does happen to be wrong with it.
So back to the drawing board...

The new ValueBundle is in MicroUnits code base now along with some other improvements.
Now on to testing (no pun intended)....

It's offical we are bringing the ValueBundle feature to MicroUnit.
A Build in way to have your setUp methods return multiple values.
Starting on the development rn....
In the meantime, find us on GitHub:

Just finished my goals for the day.
MicroUnit now has a freshened up fluent assertions API up to good quality standards.
I will refine the ValueBundle feature further now to see if it might be a good fit for MicroUnit and if yes get into developing right away.
