It's #CleanAirDay today and here at @MicroscopeHomes we are counting airborne microfibres sampled by our #citizenscientists. Microfibres and microplastics from textiles are an important, but poorly understood, type of indoor air pollution.

Wow, what an amazing response! Through @MicropscopeHomes 112 people will measure airborne #microplastics in their homes. This data will build an understanding of how many airborne microplastics there are, what they are made of and how we can reduce them.

While our #citizenscientists are busy collecting airborne #microplastics in their homes we have been studying the samples from the pilot... We place different coloured sheets under the sample dish to see if the colour affects how many fibres we can see with our #microscope.
