Interesting fact: A high school football game has 48 minutes on the clock.
But a study found the average play lasts just 5.6 seconds. At 130 plays, that’s roughly 12 minutes of actual action between BOTH teams.
Months in the weight room. Summer heat. Film. Practice. All for opportunities measured in literal seconds.
And you don’t know which 5.6 seconds will decide the game.
That backside block you took off? The pursuit you cut short because somebody else would get him?
That might’ve been it.
Congratulations Coach Rupp!
It was an AMAZING night to celebrate with @CRupp3 and TEAMMATES for his induction into the @FCGrizAthletics HALL of FAME! We are all so proud of you, Chad Rupp! #QB #BePhasTor @FCGrizFootball

We lost a beautiful light in this world yesterday. My best friend and son, Sam Schulz got his miracle and went to Heaven. He fought such a courageous fight. Most would have given up, but not Sam. He and his unbelievable mother battled to the end. I love you Sam

This guy is a legend. Tough as nails and cared about everyone. Loved sports as much as anyone I knew. Anyone who knew Sam was a better person for it. Gone too soon but will never be forgotten.”
One more opportunity this Sunday!
Come get better and compete!
