Chicano Writer/Director. Lots of other skills, but those are to pay bills and my daughter’s dance classes. I want to tell my stories. Link is to my 1st feature.

I'm 0-10 since this tweet and the last one nearly broke me. But then I submitted to two more festivals, am submitting to one more program, and I'm still shooting my second feature in Portugal this summer. Why didn't I just stick to an office job?

It's really jarring to see film festivals ask for age as a requirement. Especially because I'm old enough where it feels like it's going to be a knock against me. Why do you need to know how old I am to judge my film?
I submitted to two programs and two film festivals so far this month. There's a good chance I go 0-4, but I have a great pitch deck for my next project and a near-complete short film. Because all you can do is keep trying to create.
Backing @lmcnelly's Year Without Rent back in the day introduced me to the world of microbudget filmmaking and inspired me to start making my own projects. Great to see him making another feature. Go back it. Check out Maine Noir on @seedandspark seedandspark.com/fund/maine-…
Could definitely relate to this, especially the mental health aspects. Appreciate @lmcnelly sharing his journey. Spent a Decade Trying to Finish My Film Up Country — But I Did moviemaker.com/?p=1144105 via @moviemakermag

Let me get this straight. So far 600,000 Americans have died of COVID yet Republicans don't think you should have to be vaccinated.
So far only 16 instances of alleged voter fraud have been found in the 2020 election yet they've passed 30 laws making it harder for you to vote.

I was 14 y/o w/ a tibial stress fracture, left alone w/ no cervical spine exam after this fall. I competed in the Olympic floor final minutes later. @Simone_Biles 🤍 decision demonstrates that we have a say in our own health—“a say” I NEVER felt I had as an Olympian.
