By severing weather reporting from historical perspective, every heatwave, storm or seasonal shift is now an unprecedented anomaly rather than part of a complex, naturally variable planet.
This high-alarm narrative persists because mainstream media has fundamentally collapsed as an independent watchdog. What is entirely missing from modern climate discourse is context.
News broadcasts and scientific press releases consistently fail to compare current weather events with geological history or the broader cycles of the Late Cenozoic Ice Age - the same epoch in which humanity evolved and which continues to dominate Earth's climate today.
The newspaper industry has been in a state of implosion for thirty years, reducing historical broadsheets to empty boutique shopfronts clinging to past prestige. The electronic media has also hollowed out into a shadow of authentic news reporting. Journalism has quieted down, morphing into slick public relations.
This institutional decay explains why climate panic has become the default setting for almost every current event. The legacy media's capture aligns neatly with two driving forces: Political alignments support the broad agenda of international globalism; and it operates in a digital landscape where fear directly translates into online clicks, views, and advertising revenue.
Today’s news outlets are activist PR arms for global climate agendas. Entirely absent is any meaningful self-analysis, critique or investigation into the invisible, highly funded framework that generates and bankrolls the crisis narrative.
Perhaps the most telling evidence of a biased media narrative is what it actively chooses not to cover.
For decades, NASA satellite data has documented the phenomenon of 'global greening' - a significant, measurable expansion of fresh vegetation across the planet.
This planetary greening is overwhelmingly driven by elevated levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2), a powerful biological fertiliser for plant life.
Despite its massive ecological significance, this reality is virtually omitted from mainstream news reporting. A greener planet driven by CO2 directly contradicts the collapse narrative, threatening the foundational premise of the global warming agenda.
The crisis state of modern weather reporting is not an accident of sensationalist reporting; it is the direct, international product of a highly coordinated systemic framework anchored by the WMO and the UN.
By substituting historical context and empirical observation with speculation and PR rhetoric, this machinery maintains a permanent state of public fear - and avoids any accountability for the bureaucracy that profits from it.

The climate crisis agenda was built upon a predicted global warming scenario, now widely recognised as 'implausible'.
The Earth is not facing runaway warming.
First introduced in 2011 to guide policy, this extreme high-emissions projection - known as RCP8.5 (and later SSP5-8.5) - predicted a 5.5°C temperature rise by 2100. This misleading scenario was used to create subsequent dramatic news headlines for over a decade.
With the retirement of the extreme 5°C baseline ahead of the 7th Assessment Report (AR7), the ceiling for high-emissions projections has dropped significantly. The IPCC’s high-end baselines have been downgraded towards a 3.3°C ceiling - but even this appears to be implausible.
The flaws in this runaway warming scenario lies in the record of Earth's long climate history. The world exists within a long-term ice age regime that has spanned 34 million years. Current temperatures are actually 9°C 'colder' than the planet's 24°C average across the past 485 million years (Judd et al., Science 2024).
The current average temperature stands at approximately 15°C. This already low ceiling reflects a modest increase of up to 1.4°C over the past 250 years since the start of the Industrial Revolution. It also shows that increases in CO₂ do not automatically trigger runaway temperatures.
Earth’s climate system is amazingly complex, and is driven by multiple interacting variables. The principal driver of our current ice age cycle lies in orbital anomalies known as Milankovitch cycles, while global surface temperatures remain a composite of distinct regional dynamics.
Far from causing ecological collapse, the atmospheric CO₂ rise of just over 100 ppm has actually driven a substantial expansion of global leaf area across previously sparse terrain. Certain crop yields have surged, a phenomenon confirmed worldwide via NASA satellite vegetation data.
At roughly 420 parts per million, CO₂ remains a trace gas - still among the lowest concentrations in geological history. The atmosphere is more than 99.9% nitrogen, oxygen, and argon, while atmospheric water vapor exceeds CO₂ concentrations many times over.
A deceptive, anthropogenic CO₂-driven warming narrative had been heavily promoted by the United Nations and it's agencies, the World Meteorological Organization and the IPCC. This served as the foundational justification for Net Zero mandates.
In practice, it forced the premature dismantling of reliable hydrocarbon energy infrastructure across most Western nations. The downstream result has been widespread economic decline and a historic transfer of industrial capacity to Beijing.
China now produces roughly 90% of the world's wind turbines, solar panels and critical processing components. Many consider this to be the greatest transfer of wealth in world history.
However, it also suggests the world faces a vast and unpredictable geopolitical shakeup.

The top 152 nonprofits ( NGOs?) received €3.69 BILLION in public funding in Ireland in 2024.
I've spent months analysing the financial returns of thousands of organisations registered with the Charities Regulator, trying to establish how much public money flows into Ireland's nonprofit sector, where it goes, and how concentrated that funding actually is.
Within my research population of 2,634 organisations, primarily across health, social services, housing and local development, I identified approximately €4.98 billion in reported public funding for 2024.
But here's the striking part.
Just 152 organisations received €3.69 billion of that money.
That's 5.8% of the organisations accounting for 74% of the public funding within my research population.
The remaining 2,482 organisations shared approximately €1.29 billion.
Those 152 organisations break down as follows:
62 in Social Services
60 in Housing & Local Development
30 in Health
And the concentration goes further.
Of the 2,634 organisations, just 1,671 received €100,000 or more in public funding. Those organisations accounted for approximately 99.4% of the total.
This is where our public discussion about "charities" and "NGOs" becomes completely confused.
We routinely talk about Ireland's thousands of registered charities as though they're one homogeneous sector.
They're not.
The register contains everything from tiny volunteer-run community organisations to enormous, professionally managed service providers receiving tens or hundreds of millions of euro annually.
Some provide essential disability, housing, healthcare and social services on behalf of the State. Others are community groups, representative organisations or advocacy bodies.
These are fundamentally different types of organisations, operating at completely different scales, but they're all thrown into the same administrative category of "charity".
An important caveat about my figures.
This is NOT a comprehensive analysis of every nonprofit, community organisation or publicly funded group in Ireland.
There are thousands of organisations outside my research population, including small community groups, sports clubs, voluntary associations, organisations that aren't registered charities, and entire sectors I've deliberately excluded.
The actual number of organisations operating across Ireland's wider nonprofit, voluntary and community sector is considerably larger.
My research deliberately focuses on a few core areas, particularly organisations involved in delivering publicly funded services.
Another important point: this is 2024 data.
We're approaching the end of 2026, so these figures are already almost two years old.
If public funding has increased by 5% or 10% since then, the €4.98 billion identified in my research population could now be approximately €5.23 billion to €5.48 billion. That's an illustration, not a verified 2026 figure.
And remember, that still wouldn't represent total public funding across Ireland's entire nonprofit and community sector.
I've also encountered serious problems with the underlying Charities Regulator data, including missing financial reports and obvious reporting errors.
152 organisations. €3.69 billion. 74% of the public funding within my research population.
And I've had to spend months assembling, cleaning and classifying government data just to establish these basic facts.

ARE WE WATCHING BRITAIN’S PAEDOPHILE GROOMING-GANG SCANDAL UNFOLD IN IRELAND — WITH THE VICTIMS BEING CHILDREN IN TUSLA CARE?
In an opinion piece in today’s Irish Mail, Brenda Power warns of a shocking child-safety scandal involving vulnerable children in State care being targeted by sexual predators while the authorities responsible for protecting them struggle to keep them safe.
Under the headline “Grooming gangs are the real threat, not grannies”, Power focuses on three cases involving teenagers in State care which recently came before High Court judge Mr Justice John Jordan. So concerned was the judge that he directed details to Children Minister Norma Foley, Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan and Public Expenditure Minister Jack Chambers.
One case concerns a 14-year-old girl who, Power writes, was being preyed upon by organised paedophile gangs. The teenager, from a deeply troubled background, reportedly believed the men exploiting her genuinely cared about her.
Despite suffering physical symptoms associated with sexual activity with numerous men, the child was unable to recognise herself as a victim. Power argues that this illustrates the sinister nature of grooming: vulnerable children can be manipulated into interpreting exploitation as love and affection.
A second teenage girl in Tusla care was also reported as being sexually exploited by a large number of men.
The third case concerned a 16-year-old boy involved with an older criminal gang whom he regarded as friends and supporters. Gardaí had seized thousands of euro worth of drugs from him.
Power links the cases to the shortage of special-care accommodation. Despite 26 designated beds, only 15 were available. But she argues that the debate must go much further than beds.
The fundamental question is: who is sexually exploiting these children and what is being done to identify, investigate and prosecute them?
Power draws a disturbing comparison with Britain’s grooming-gang scandals, where vulnerable girls, particularly children in care, were systematically targeted by groups of men. She argues Ireland should learn from what happened there rather than wait for a comparable scandal to become fully exposed here.
She cites Irish Mail on Sunday reporting that organised criminal groups are exploiting the State’s inability to keep vulnerable children safe. Perpetrators allegedly contact children online, obtain information about residential care facilities and arrange meetings away from their placements.
Power describes children initially being offered attention, affection, money, drugs or alcohol before being passed between perpetrators and subjected to increasingly serious sexual exploitation. What may appear to be children voluntarily meeting adults can instead involve grooming, manipulation and coercion.
She strongly rejects any suggestion that children can meaningfully consent to their own exploitation. They must be recognised as victims rather than having their behaviour treated as the problem.
Power also questions whether Ireland’s in-camera rule, while essential for protecting children’s privacy, can prevent proper public scrutiny of organised exploitation.
Her broader argument is that the State risks concentrating on containing vulnerable children through secure beds and residential placements while insufficient attention is directed towards the adults allegedly exploiting them.
Ireland, Power argues, must confront the possibility that organised grooming and sexual exploitation of children in State care is already occurring here.
Her central message is stark: the vulnerable children are not the threat from which society needs protection; the adults grooming and exploiting them are.

TUSLA STAFF SNOOPED ON MISSING BOY KYRAN DURNIN’S FILES AS GARDAÍ LAUNCHED MURDER INVESTIGATION
An exclusive report in today’s Irish Daily Mail (29 October 2026) by political correspondent Muiris Ó Cearbhaill reveals that Tusla investigated employees for inappropriately accessing highly sensitive records concerning missing schoolboy Kyran Durnin.
An inquiry identified eight breaches, including one on 17 October 2024, the day Gardaí upgraded their investigation into Kyran’s disappearance to a murder inquiry. Kyran was reported missing in August 2024, but Gardaí believe he may have died in 2022, when he was just six.
Tusla’s case-management system records who opens files and requires staff to confirm a legitimate business purpose. Nevertheless, employees with no professional role in Kyran’s case accessed his confidential records. Some reportedly claimed a legitimate business reason for opening them.
More than 20 staff members were examined during the inquiry. According to the newspaper, eight breaches were upheld, and further incidents were referred for investigation. The article does not identify the employees or say whether disciplinary action followed.
Sources familiar with the investigation expressed concern that inappropriate access could disrupt the criminal inquiry. However, the newspaper provides no evidence that Tusla staff leaked information, interfered with evidence or obstructed Gardaí. One source characterised the incidents as staff being “nosy”; another indicated that they were considered low risk because there was no evidence of an intention to share information externally.
The revelations are especially troubling given Tusla’s previous data-protection failures. In 2020 the Data Protection Commission fined the agency €200,000 over several breaches. One involved a staff member accessing records on behalf of a friend who was estranged from the person concerned. Tusla was required to improve safeguards against unauthorised access.
Yet the Mail reports that Tusla failed repeatedly to honour commitments to audit staff access logs. Regular national and local auditing reportedly began only in the six months before these latest revelations, despite earlier commitments to the regulator.
Tusla confirmed that management discovered the matter and that an immediate investigation was conducted. It described the incident as low risk, confirmed that breaches were upheld and referred to the Data Protection Commission, and said mandatory data-protection training for staff and contractors was being introduced.
Kyran was not in State care, but Tusla had contact with him and his family and alerted Gardaí to significant concerns in August 2024. His disappearance and suspected death remain the subject of public concern.
The questions for Tusla’s leadership are unavoidable. Why could staff access a missing child’s confidential records without a legitimate reason? Why were promised audits delayed? What consequences followed for those responsible? And what assurance can families have that their most private information is protected?
There is no evidence in the report that staff disclosed Kyran’s information outside Tusla or compromised the Garda investigation. But accessing a vulnerable child’s records out of curiosity is itself a serious breach of trust.
Tusla is entrusted with protecting children. That responsibility must include protecting their confidential information — especially during a murder investigation.
