I would say @PSG_English are schooling @ManCity but they've burned all their schools down

If Manchester City supporters are firing back, itโs because we refuse, as Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News so eloquently put it, to โplay the sad clowns that the deluded circus demand.โ
And letโs be clear: this entire legal process, together with the relentless outrage from partisan media and punditry, has become a circus that stinks to high heaven.
Before Sheikh Mansour bought Manchester City in 2008, the Cartel was firmly in control of English football. The established Incumbent Four had won 15 of 16 Premier League titles. They occupied every Champions League qualification spot for three consecutive seasons. City had won none.
Then City emerged as a genuine challenger to the established order, thanks to an owner with the resources necessary to compete with the Incumbent Four.
And suddenly, protecting footballโs โfinancial sustainabilityโ became the great crusade.
Shockingly, the rules that emergedโtying permissible spending to existing commercial revenueโoverwhelmingly favored the Incumbent Four. The clubs that had spent decades building their financial advantages could continue spending accordingly. Challengers seeking to close the gap would face an entirely different set of constraints.
The established order had built its advantage. Now the rules would help preserve it.
In March 2019, the Premier League, with Richard Masters serving as interim CEO, opened an investigation into whether City had violated its financial rules. Masters would later become the Leagueโs permanent CEO through an appointment process reportedly influenced by United and Liverpool.
Nearly four years later, on February 6, 2023, in the midst of what would become Cityโs historic treble-winning season, the Club was formally charged. The timing alone raises legitimate questions about the influence of partisan interests within the League.
The commission tasked with hearing the charges was then constituted under the authority of a Judicial Panel chair appointed through a process involving Masters and the Premier League.
And so the cloud hanging over City continued for an absurdly long time.
Finally, on September 29, 2026, we received a guilty verdict.
But that verdict came with a few rather extraordinary asterisks.
First, we donโt get to know who actually rendered the verdict. The identities of the commission members remain undisclosed.
Second, we donโt get to see the underlying evidence the commission supposedly analyzedโat least not yet.
Instead, weโre given a 40-page, heavily redacted decision setting out the commissionโs findings, while the evidence underlying those findings and the supporting appendices remain outside public scrutiny.
Weโre simply expected to accept on blind faith that an anonymous commission conducted its proceedings without bias, fairly evaluated the evidence, and reached conclusions fully supported by that evidence.
Perhaps it did. But how is anyone outside the proceedings supposed to make that judgment?

Sad to hear about the death of Adam Lenson. I interviewed him in March about Flyby in the @JewishTelegraph . Really nice guy. Thoughts with his loved ones

Hebrew speakers: in the 1st episode of the new series of Fauda, Gabi jokes that Lia is called Lia because she's a LIAbility. How did that joke translate in Hebrew?
Is there any way of buying a ticket in the City end for tomorrow?
@CAFCWomen
I'm trying to buy a ticket for Saturday's game as I'm visiting my daughter who lives opposite the Valley. I'm a season ticket holder for the men's team. I can't work out how to buy a ticket on the city website

Having a colonscopy and gastroscopy (a spitroast) tomorrow. Tonight I have to drink something that will make me shit out my insides. I shall be livestreaming after having the drink on my onlyfans.com account. Maybe I'll even sell my underwear
Loving @therealboon book. Lots of great stories from someone who was there at the start. It's a who's who of the music scene. Incredible memory Clint has for names (and number plates)
Itamar Ben-Gvir doesn't just need kicking out of the Israeli government, he needs arresting and charged with war crimes. His views should be condemned by all Jews and Israel's. Israel will never improve its image with people like him and Netanyahu in positions of power.

Hapoel Tel Aviv eliminated GKS Katowice tonight.
GKS Katowice responded with Nazi salutes to Hapoel Tel Aviv supporters.
Let's see what @UEFA will do. (Don't hold your breath.)

Katowice hosted the first public Zionist conference in 1884, thirteen years before Basel. Poland was home to more than three million Jews. Nearly all of them were killed, and in 1968 the government ran a campaign it called anti-Zionist to push out most of those who remained. Poland is watching. That is what Poland has seen.
Two more things. Israel is in UEFA because Asia expelled it in 1974 for being Israeli, not because of political muscle. And of every club in Israel you could have picked, you went with Hapoel Tel Aviv, the left-wing one whose supporters have spent years protesting Israeli government policies from the stands.
What is the point of wifi on trains? It's as effective as a banana in a sword fight (I originally tried to send this on the train which proves my point)
@AvantiWestCoast @CrossCountryUK
FROM is much more than a slog @jamescdyer - it's a full on hate watch. Struggled thru this season. Started Ffing thru it. Harold Perrineau really should find out if writers have mapped out the whole story before he signs on to things. The dialogue and acting is shocking. โ at Bolton, England
For @boydhilton who said on today's @PilotTVPod that there is no air conditioning in London theatres. Here's a list of all the ones with AC
