Here is the reality. We have the votes to impeach Pete Hegseth tomorrow.
Mike Johnson knows it, we know it.
So he’s sending us all home to avoid the vote. cnn.com/2026/09/16/politics/…
This Forbes investigation is a must-read.
Donald Trump pulled in roughly $1.4 billion from crypto in 2025, plus more than $200 million from real estate, and faced a projected tax bill north of $500 million. So his company donated the "development rights" to his Jupiter, Florida golf course to a land trust, argued the course was a natural habitat worth protecting, and kept right on running the club. Forbes estimates the write-off could land around $825 million.
He has done this at least five times since 2005. New York's attorney general alleged two of those appraisals were inflated. In Doral, he claimed a deduction of up to $323 million, more than double what he paid for the entire resort.
A month after the Jupiter deal, he sued the IRS. The settlement his own Justice Department signed bars claims against him over matters that "could be pending," language that appears broad enough to cover this year's taxes. A federal judge found the case was brought to manipulate the judicial process. And the man now running the IRS, who took the job as this deal was being assembled, has a home backing onto those same Jupiter fairways.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Nobody should be able to use the presidency to write his own tax bill.

We’ve never seen corruption like this.
Under Trump, a whole pardon industry has grown up around the White House, with wealthy criminals paying well-connected insiders for a shot at clemency. Some have paid up to a million dollars. This case blows past all of them.
A billionaire banker named Julio Herrera Velutini was charged with trying to bribe Puerto Rico’s governor to fire the official investigating his bank. Herrera wanted his record wiped clean, so he went looking for a pardon from Trump.
Herrera’s daughter gave $3.5 million to a group supporting President Trump. Then the Herrera family offered Alina Habba, the President’s former personal lawyer, a job guaranteeing her more than $50 million over four years, at a company with no public profile. Habba signed the deal while she was still a federal prosecutor.
A few weeks after Habba started, Trump gave Herrera a full pardon.
No matter your party, we can all agree that justice should never be for sale. That’s why I helped start the End Corruption Caucus in Congress, and why I’m fighting to bring the pardon process out into the open.
Either we will end the corruption, or the corruption will be the end of us.

Daily reminder that Trump and Republican leadership are spending billions of your tax dollars on military operations against Iran that Congress never authorized, expanding Stephen Miller’s mass deportation agenda, and funding the president’s own vanity projects, while doing nothing to lower your grocery bill or make your life more affordable.
In 11 days, you can help put an end to it.

My heart is with every family who lost their home in the Norte Fire.
My office is ready to help right now, whether it’s replacing lost documents or anything else standing between you and getting back on your feet. Please reach out.
My own family was evacuated too, so I know some of the fear so many of you felt that afternoon.
To the firefighters who ran toward a fire that tore through hundreds of acres in an hour, words cannot convey our thanks. And to the sheriff's deputies who went door to door, moved thousands of people to safety and kept our neighborhoods secure, thank you as well. You are all heroes who saved lives.
I'm grateful too for every neighbor who opened their home, cared for pets and checked on the elderly. That's who we are.
We'll rebuild together, and I'll keep fighting in Washington for the resources our families and first responders need.

I hope you read Jonathan Martin’s new column on the Ohio governor’s race.
Vivek Ramaswamy’s ad really is a new low in modern American politics. It puts Amy Acton’s estranged mother on camera calling her a liar. What it leaves out is that Acton was taken from that home at 12, after her stepfather was indicted for molesting her, and that her mother sided with him over her own daughter.
Let’s be honest about how we got here.
Donald Trump certainly didn't invent negative campaigning but he has spent the last decade incessantly teaching his party that cruelty wins. This week he and JD Vance shamefully defended the ad.
Ramaswamy has cynically embraced the ends-justify-the-means politics Trump has wrought. It is disgusting.
Nobody should pretend this all fades once Trump leaves the arena.
The only thing that really changes this is Ramaswamy’s defeat. He and anyone else who mirrors this sort of insidious nonsense needs to lose, and lose badly.
I am grateful to the Republicans pushing back. There aren't enough of them, and they need to be louder.
Contrast ads that highlight records, votes or promises are one thing. My campaigns have run plenty of them over the years. But Ramaswamy’s gutter tactics are something else entirely.
My kids are watching. So are yours.
We can disagree and compete fiercely without sinking to this sort of garbage. We owe them, and our fellow Americans, a politics more honest and decent than what we are seeing today.

The new Vanity Fair story on Jared Kushner is extraordinary.
According to Matthew Cole's upcoming book, foreign intelligence officials watched Kushner access a Dubai bank account holding hundreds of millions of dollars tied to Gulf governments while he served as Trump’s senior advisor. Money from that account went to a warlord, a mercenary and a former hit man.
We don't yet know what's true here. If foreign governments were quietly funding a senior official, Congress and the public need to know. If the allegations are false, a transparent investigation should clear the air.
The founders worried about this very thing and wrote the Emoluments Clause because they feared foreign powers would try to buy influence.
Congress must investigate fully and hold anyone who broke the law accountable.
Our foreign policy must never be for sale.

Harry Truman left the White House with nothing but a $113 a month Army pension.
Donald Trump made at least $2.2 billion in his first year back in office.
He pulled in $1.4 billion from crypto alone in 2025. Companies backed by his sons have landed billions in Pentagon contracts. And he made thousands of stock trades in the first three months of this year, including in companies his own administration regulates.
The grift never stops.
Meanwhile, working families are scraping by to cover gas, groceries and electric bills that keep climbing. They haven't seen a dime of Trump's windfall. They're the ones paying for it.
If you're fed up with a president who treats the White House like a personal ATM while Americans struggle to hold on, fight back by voting on November 3rd.

This New York Times report is stunning. About one in six American households is now behind on utility bills.
In Oklahoma, a 58-year-old grandmother who depends on an oxygen machine spent the summer living in a single room with blankets hung over the doorways, trying to keep her bill down. She still got a shutoff notice for more than $1,300, more than she receives in an entire month.
Trump promised again and again on the campaign trail that he would cut your electricity bill in half. Instead, residential electricity rates have skyrocketed.
An unauthorized war with Iran has sent energy prices soaring, and tariffs have driven up the cost of the steel and equipment utilities need to keep the grid running. Families end up paying for all of it.
Nobody should have to choose between keeping the lights on and buying groceries.
Bringing costs down means ending the war, rolling back these tariffs, and passing real relief for working families.

Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.
This is disgraceful.
Last week, Ukrainian forces woke up to find their Starshield terminals suddenly restricted. Access came back days later, but in the meantime Russia was launching hundreds of drones a night at Ukrainian cities heading into winter.
Elon Musk says any limits on Starshield are decided by the U.S. military and ultimately the President. Trump denies it. What we know is that the restriction landed in the middle of an administration pressure campaign against Ukraine.
This should not be partisan. Pulling back support for Ukraine helps the invader.
The American people deserve to know who gave this order and why.
My grandfather was part of the Greatest Generation that fought in World War II so that democracies would never be left alone to face a dictator’s aggression.
Leaving Ukraine exposed while Putin bombs its cities betrays what he fought for.
We need answers, and we need them now.

This is outrageous. Somebody isn’t telling the truth and Congress needs answers.
“Some U.S. officials say that Musk acted unilaterally and that Trump didn’t specifically order any retribution against Ukraine. But a person familiar with the situation said Musk talked to multiple senior administration officials, including with Trump, before imposing the new speed cap, which Ukrainian officials said had allowed Russian missiles to evade their defenses.”

Families deserve a president who's as focused on the economy as he is on his golf game. There's real work he should be doing right now. Instead, he’s been fixated on tearing up East Potomac Golf Links.
It's one more vanity project on a list that keeps growing, from a ballroom to a triumphal arch, to the Kennedy Center and reflecting pool.
He's building monuments to himself while your bills keep climbing.
Trump: "The United States Department of Interior wants to take a terrible and very unsafe golf course, and make it into a great, safe, and prestigious golf course. They have an absolute right to do so. It’s as simple as that! The judge on the case is a crazed lunatic whose courthouse tapes will reveal, may be insane? The tapes have been blocked from usage by the judge. The random golfer bringing the ridiculous lawsuit has ZERO STANDING! The experts at 'Interior' are allowed to do this First Class renovation 'as of right.' They do not need an approval. Work is scheduled to begin IMMEDIATELY! The finished product will be World Class, and bring income and great prestige back to D.C. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT"
You can disagree with Rep. Ilhan Omar on every vote she's ever cast and still see that something is very wrong here.
Federal agents raided a sitting member of Congress's home and are now working to strip her citizenship, just two weeks before Americans head to the polls.
The timing speaks for itself.
When an administration turns law enforcement against political opponents in the middle of an election, every citizen should be worried, regardless of party.
We need a strong, secure immigration system that enforces the law fairly and keeps politics far away from it.

If you want to understand how completely this White House has abandoned America's role in the world, read this New York Times piece.
Earlier this month, President Trump waived sanctions so Russia could sell more diesel. He got nothing in return.
No ceasefire.
No pause in the bombing.
Days later, Russia fired 39 ballistic missiles at Ukraine, the biggest barrage of the war, and 600,000 people in Kyiv lost power with winter closing in.
Six Republican Senators joined six Democrats in calling the diesel deal a betrayal of Ukraine. They're right, and I'm grateful they said it out loud.
Every family in my district wants lower fuel prices. I do too. There's a better way to get there. Pass my Energy Bills Relief Act, end the war in Iran that sent fuel costs soaring, and produce more clean energy right here at home.
Putin is a murderous thug. Americans of both parties have known that for a long time. Standing with democracies fighting for their lives is part of who we are.
I stand with Ukraine.
And I'll work with anyone, in either party, who's willing to do the same.

This morning on Meet the Press, Treasury Secretary Bessent was asked three times whether Ukraine is an ally of the United States. Three times he dodged the question.
He should be ashamed of himself.
Ukrainians are defending their homes, children, and democracy against Putin's brutal invasion.
My grandfather went off to fight in World War II because Americans understood that when a dictator invades a free country, we stand with the people defending it. That same conviction has made America strong for many decades and should continue to guide us now.
So I'll answer the question Secretary Bessent wouldn't. Yes, Ukraine is our ally.
And we must not turn our back on them.
