BUTTERBEAN KNOCKS ED WHITE CLEAN THROUGH THE ROPES IN LAS VEGAS
On April 12, 1997, Eric Butterbean Esch faced towering Ed White for the IBA super heavyweight title.
White used his seven-inch height advantage and long jab to control the early exchanges and keep Butterbean at bay.
The opening round stayed competitive as Ed White landed clean shots while Butterbean pressed forward undeterred.
In the second round Butterbean found his range with heavy overhand rights and looping hooks that staggered White.
A big right hand dropped Ed White early, and he rose with a look of resignation in his eyes.
Butterbean followed with a left-right combination that sent White tumbling through the ropes and out of the ring.
Referee Joe Cortez waved off the fight at 1:14, awarding Butterbean the TKO and retaining his title.

This is an excellent reminder of how big a factor Ferguson's greed was in destroying Manchester United.

I think there’s a tipping point coming in the not-too-distant future when match-going fans simply call it a day.
Speaking to a lot of people recently, there’s a growing sense of disconnect between the club and its supporters, particularly after the way fans were treated over the summer.
The feeling is becoming increasingly widespread, and I think the club risks underestimating just how much that relationship is deteriorating.

Michael Carrick opened his press conference with a stirring monologue invoking resilience of #MUFC as a club, vowing he will come through this. Mentions Giggs, Rooney, Ferguson, Busby, Charlton. Hard work. "I won't let us lose that. It inspires me a lot to live up to that." More @TheAthleticFC

I’ve said for a while I want us relegated and get pelters for it. Only way for the glazers business model to collapse. Fairweather tourists would fuck off, amazing away days, no VAR, might win the league! We’d be back eventually. But the final collapse needs to happen I think.

This is why James McClean's comments went down so badly. This is a real thing, not a weakness. Hard to watch but so well handled by Rachel Casey. Wishing Mark Allen all the best in his battle.

City’s players and fans seem to find the fact their club’s been found guilty of the worst cheating in football history, a real lark. Very odd mindset.
