Today, the people of Serbia turned out in record numbers to shape their country’s future. Congratulations to the Student List on its victory in the parliamentary elections. We stand ready to support reforms on the rule of law, media freedom, the fight against corruption and strong democratic institutions, and to work together to advance Serbia’s future in the European Union. @eucopresident

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump and his family have lost surprise elections, thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

Absolutely delighted with my one star review in the Telegraph! In the old days it would have been none … they’re going soft in their old age.

The situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory is out of control. In Gaza, essential aid is still being severely restricted by Israel. In the occupied West Bank, Palestinians continue to suffer daily attacks by Israeli settlers and journalists & diplomats are being attacked. There must be a credible political path towards lasting peace, ending the occupation and realizing a two-State solution, with Israel & Palestine living side by side in peace & security.

Wonderful building and perfect location!
Asia has a new home in the nation’s capital. The historic Blaine Mansion in Dupont Circle has been the home of presidential candidates, ambassadors and even the United Nations. Over 145 years, its DNA has been thoroughly embedded within the cultural and political fabric of Washington DC. From early 2027, this remarkable building will begin a new chapter as Asia Society’s permanent home in Washington. It will house our first-class Policy Institute and Center for China Analysis, and provide a new venue for cultural events and conversations.

Two thirds of house movers want solar panels, batteries and heat pumps. Soaring energy prices and the Iran and Ukraine wars have boosted owners’ interest in green tech for their home. thetimes.com/life-style/prop…

Isn’t #trust considered important in voting 🗳️ decisions? Latest survey “found a total of 59.1% of respondents trusted Chris Hipkins either a ‘great deal’ or a ‘fair amount’, while only 33.8% had the same levels of trust in Luxon”. stuff.co.nz/politics/3610480… #nzpol
