Hi Peter The root cause of congestion in London is the excessive number of private cars + the inefficiency of travelling in a vehicle that is, on average, 1.8 m wide x 4 m long, statistically transporting 1 adult 60% of the time It's nothing to do with cycle lanes. HTH

You are double file on your lane - the cycling scheme further down the road and all the closed off side roads through the market you could use are the cause of the jams you are sat next to - so what is your beef? The pedestrians and local residents do far worse as a result

The biggest difference is that Paris has repurposed kerbside roadspace for dockless bike parking. Central London Councils like @CityWestminster and @RBKC are dragging their heels in the vain hope people will stop using dockless bikes. What will London do about that?
