Europe must be part of efforts to end Russia’s war against Ukraine, but not as a neutral mediator between the aggressor and its victim.
We stand with Ukraine. We must increase pressure on Russia, use its frozen assets to support Ukraine and remain united against the Kremlin’s attempts to divide our societies.
I discussed Europe’s role in achieving a just peace in Ukraine and European security with @France24_en: youtube.com/watch?v=aAp6mPFH…

Kyllike Sillaste-Elling, Katrin Juhandi and Julika Luts set the scene with perspectives from Coreper II, Coreper I and the PSC on the EU’s priorities and the negotiations ahead.
We discussed the next EU budget, sustained support for Ukraine, continued pressure on Russia and opening all accession clusters with Ukraine and Moldova.
Competitiveness and the single market also featured, alongside Arctic security and the EU’s security strategy.

However, let's recognize @elonmusk's bravery. Meddling in Europen politics and attacking the EU itself when you want regulatory privileges and frequency permissions is a bold business strategy.
More reporting suggesting that Musk does indeed have his finger on Starshield's operability. Quite a lot of power for a ketamine-addicted trillionaire in bed with hostile foreign regimes. You might even say this endangers U.S. national security. wsj.com/world/trump-called-m…

What is actually going on is a massive difference between what you think and what people in Ukraine, being invaded and bombed by russia every day, think about the value of their freedom and the right to decide about their own existence and future
Exactly, the imperial exploitative and oppressive instincts of Russia - mainly it’s elites- have not died yet and remembering Hungarian 1956 helps us to keep us in focus what Russia is trying to do today to other people, and their own people, wanting a better life and free-er life.

No, @elonmusk, the U.S. stopped funding Ukraine last year. In fact, U.S. companies make money on American weapons for which we Europeans pay.
The more you meddle in our politics and the more you play politics with your products, the more you damage your brand.
Replying to @elonmusk
And some of that US taxpayer money comes back through multiple laundry machines to fund political campaigns in America, which is why you see some politicians caring more about Ukraine than America!
Strong praise, but well deserved 👍
🇪🇪 🇳🇴 🇵🇱 🇺🇦 Operation LEGIO: Estonian and Ukrainian forces continue their cooperation
Since June 2025, the Estonian contingent has been taking part in the Norwegian-led international training Operation LEGIO @Forsvaret_no, aimed at sustaining and developing the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Estonian instructors have been working at the training base in Poland since the first rotation in September 2025.
"Estonia currently contributes up to 20 instructors – active-duty personnel, reservists and members of the Estonian Defence League who have volunteered for the mission," the Estonian Defence Forces state @Kaitsevagi.
The two-month training cycles focus on basic military training and individual combat skills and are tailored to the requirements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the Estonian instructors, Ukrainian trainees consistently provide positive feedback on the training, which confirms the value of Estonia's contribution.
The cooperation is mutually beneficial. "Our personnel gain valuable experience of operating in a multinational environment, broaden their knowledge and skills, and share their own experience," emphasised the Senior National Representative of the Estonian contingent.
Estonian instructors work side by side with counterparts from the Nordic and Baltic countries, Poland, Australia and New Zealand, as well as in cooperation with the United States, strengthening coordination among Allies and partners and enhancing interoperability.
Operation LEGIO, launched on the initiative of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) and Poland, is part of Norway's Operation ELLISIV. Its framework was formalised in a Memorandum of Understanding signed by ten nations, including Ukraine, at the @NATO Defence Ministers' Meeting on 15 October 2025. In 2026, Australia joined the operation with its contribution under its national Operation KUDU @DefenceAust, and New Zealand under Operation TIEKE @NZDefenceForce.
LEGIO integrates bilateral and multilateral support into a single system for training and equipping Ukrainian units to NATO standards, while the combat experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in turn enriches partner forces and becomes a shared asset for European security.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine express their sincere gratitude to the Republic of Estonia, the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of Poland @SztabGenWP all partners of Operation LEGIO for their consistent support and contribution to the training of our defenders.

This is our three minute video on why the Baltics matter. Expertly rejigged by my brilliant colleague at @securebaltics
🎬 When it comes to security, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania see things we don’t see. They understand things we don’t understand. And they do things we don’t do.
🌍 Europe doesn’t have a Baltic problem. It has Baltic solutions. #BeMoreBaltic

Today, Estonia decided to contribute another €10 million through NATO’s PURL initiative, bringing our total contribution through this mechanism to €31 million.
This will help Ukraine obtain urgently needed air defence and ammunition. This year, Estonia’s military assistance to Ukraine amounts to 0.3% of our GDP.
Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure have left hundreds of thousands without power. With winter approaching, this support is vital to protecting lives and keeping essential services running.
The stronger Ukraine can defend itself, the less Russia can dictate the terms of peace.
We must keep supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia.

Warm wishes to our Hungarian friends marking these important days of courage not only for Hungary but for the whole of Europe once oppressed by Soviet empire and remembering the victims of the crushing of the uprising.
🇭🇺70 years ago, Hungarians rose up against Soviet oppression. The 1956 uprising was crushed, but the courage of those who stood up for freedom inspired hope among Estonians living under Soviet occupation.
Our peoples share a deep understanding of what freedom means.
As we begin a new chapter in Estonian–Hungarian relations, we keep the memory of 1956 alive.
Tisztelet a hősöknek!

A convoy carrying members of the diplomatic corps, including Polish diplomats, was attacked in the West Bank. According to preliminary information, Israeli settlers may have been responsible for the incident.
The Polish diplomats were unharmed. Based on the information currently available to us, there is no indication that they were specifically targeted.
We are deeply outraged by this incident and condemn it in the strongest possible terms. Poland has consistently opposed violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank. Attacks against members of the diplomatic corps are absolutely unacceptable.
We remain in close contact with our partners to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
We expect the Israeli authorities to provide urgent and detailed explanations, identify those responsible and ensure that they are held accountable. We also expect effective measures to be taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
