6 legends. 8 Ballon d’Or awards. A legacy of greatness. ✨
😠😠 This is the second time the mural honouring Franco Baresi has been vandalised with graffiti. A truly shameful and disrespectful act towards a legend of AC Milan. Those responsible should be ashamed!
📰 Tuttosport: Despite a few difficult moments this season, Milan remain UNBEATEN IN SERIE A. Only Argentine coach Luis Carniglia, in 1963/64, began his Milan tenure with a longer unbeaten league run, going 13 matches without defeat. Amorim has now reached eight, equalling Puricelli’s start in 1954/55.
📰 Corriere dello Sport: Refereeing analysis
Palma could have been shown a RED CARD 🟥
Neither Marcenaro nor his assistant Costanzo saw the incident. VAR official Pezzuto evidently did not consider it violent conduct.
📰 Franco Ordine - Corriere dello Sport: Bartesaghi, often overlooked in favour of Estupiñán, played an important role alongside the relatively inexperienced Diawara. Both came through Milan’s youth system and brought a valuable SENSE OF BELONGING to a squad transformed by the arrival of numerous foreign players in recent years.
📰 Franco Ordine - Corriere dello Sport: This Milan displayed the pride, resilience and talent often seen during Stefano Pioli’s tenure, when the team repeatedly responded after finding itself on the edge of collapse.
📰 Gazzetta dello Sport: Pulisic was one of Milan’s best players, constantly dangerous and involved in the attacking play. Operating behind or alongside Ramos, he opened the scoring after only six minutes.
📰 Gazzetta dello Sport: For the first time, Milan’s midfield was built around two pure playmakers in Modrić and Jashari. Despite the absence of a more physical midfielder, they had few defensive problems and were both involved in the goals.
🗣️ Amorim in his press conference: "We must continue to IMPROVE as a team. During this period, we also need to learn more about one another. Every minute will help us GROW."
🗣️ Amorim in his press conference: "I explained to the players what I thought after Bournemouth. That was all I could do because during training, we cannot spend too much time talking we have to WORK. They play for MILAN, so the players shouldn’t need any extra motivation. They must always be READY."
🗣️ Amorim in his press conference: "I’m VERY HAPPY for him. When I throw an inexperienced player into a match, it is MY RESPONSIBILITY. He has shown that he is an OPTION for us this season."
🗣️ Amorim in his press conference: "Bartesaghi has a lot of PACE. You learn more about your players during training. Before I arrived, I thought he was more defensively minded, but that is actually an area in which he still needs to IMPROVE. Today, he made good use of his QUALITIES."
