Just took the fork in the road as a 2210 GS12 IMO desktop support was making 111,000. Now landed a system admin role with a pay cut just to get the experience as it has a lot of cyber included! Nothing wrong with desktop support!

I think if more people understood that going straight into a Cybersecurity role isn't realistic for majority of people they would focus on actual entry level IT roles like Help Desk/IT Support and Junior System Administrator roles.
