This past weekend, Magic hosted 4 major competitive events across the world (Australia, Argentina, the USA, and Magic Arena), across Standard and Modern, with over half a Million in prize money! RC South America was the biggest ever held there. People who say competitive Magic is dead are wrong. It might look different than it did in the past, but it’s alive and well. There’s always room for improvement and I’m here for it!

The funny thing about this is with the average magic player skewing older, chances are they don't have a girlfriend, but a wife at home they've communicated time away with - they may have a full life outside of this hobby We are the same, let TCG players love and have fun
galaxygaz@gazmon48Oct 24
At a magic 10k while a riftbound 25k is happening in the same hall. Biggest difference beteeen riftbound and magic, a lot more girlfriends standing behind the riftbound players watching them play

This was such a fun video to do - playing 4 TCGs at once really gives you alot to think about when it comes to set mechanics - give it a watch!

Happy to collab with @MillThat on the strange pattern of disappearing #Riftbound mechanics. Is it a coincidence? Or by design? And what can be done to support these mechanics in the future. youtu.be/HZLhqNq6rIk?si=oveN…

It's a bit awkward that Star Trek releases just 6 weeks after Reality Fracture, but then Nauctis doesn't release until 12 weeks after Star Trek. It's a shame that Reality Fracture gets such a short amount of time in the spotlight. Star Trek draft better be S tier.

Now THISSSSS is a Legacy decklist
Matt@PunishingMTGOOct 17
This deck is so damn cool! Miwa Ryo top 8'd a 220 player Championship tourney in Japan with Shifty Riddler Lands! The deck has so much game. Woodlands recurring Awaken the Honored Dead, Carpet on opponents' turns, Riddler, Uro, Explorer, etc. 3-2 but will play again soon!

The competitive prizing structure has created a false diversity in metagame and this change serves to: 1. Tackle collusion 2. Open people's eyes to how bad the legend/card balance is in this game, especially with certain decks losing play incentive with no metals
MERC Tronisbad
@tronisbadOct 15
I don’t think changing prizing so drastically THREE weeks is definitely a choice Overall; i understand. I love the fight against collusion and incentives on playing the best decks However What the fuck

this is not really true most of us understand it isn't perfect but still think it is a very good base for the current card design

Riftbound testing second player drawing a second card is hilarious cause it's almost like every TCG does this and it's almost like reinventing the wheel isn't always necessary LOL Can't wait for this to be permanent change
Riftbound Report
@RiftboundReportOct 15
The Radiance Standard Challenge side event at #RCStuttgart will be testing a new 'Start of Game' rule where the player going second will draw an additional card after channelling their runes on the first turn. What do you think about this new 'Start of Game' rule? Shoutout to @JibbsUK for spotting it! #RCStuttgart
