It seems as though Labour are effectively going to decree that everyone under the age of 25 (apart from those who have met the severe conditions criteria) will effectively be deemed to be capable of work-related activity, with the health element not being accessible to them before then. An entirely ridiculous suggestion. I don't know who came up with such an idea but I can tell you one thing, it wasn't a disabled person. Of course this could be a media spin, whereby they put out something completely outrageous and then they announce the actual policy and it's a slightly watered down version, but either way, effectively forcing thousands of disabled people to compete for jobs they won't be able to do is completely nonsensical proposition.

@RLong_Bailey Whilst you recognise individual support is required at work; @educationgovuk #SEND reform plans propose to remove 20+ legal rights in Education inc individualised support; providing only size fits all mainstream education or packages of specialist.Make it make sense
Getting through the working day shouldn't mean battling your workplace as well as doing your job. Today the Government has published a report from the independent Expert Academic Panel on Neurodiversity, which it set up last year, chaired by Professor Amanda Kirby. 1/4

I'd like a correction please @BBCNews in this article you claim that the Timms review said PIP was a barrier to work for many. The Timms review does not say it's a barrier for many in fact it says:- "We also found that while many disabled people say that PIP is vital in helping them meet the extra costs of disability and participate in everyday life, others stated PIP creates barriers to participating fully in work, social and community life."

@LucyMPowell A vision should explain how children will be made safer and better supported. When parents, professionals and SEND organisations are ALL warning you that removing existing statutory protections risks foreseeable harm, those warnings need answers, not platitudes.
My first statement as Education Secretary, setting out my vision for education👇🏼

If you intend to proceed despite those warnings, please explain what enforceable protection a child will have when a school or local authority fails to provide the support they need ... which based on evidence IRL happens all too frequently! @IPSEAcharity @SpcialNdsJungle

Around 95% of SEND tribunal rulings go against LA’s If councils are losing at that rate, why remove parents right to hold them to account instead of fixing the decisions? @andyburnham @LucyMPowell @Georgia_Gould
