Asking again :
What do you do in your hospital for cognitive screening?
At OUH , we do an AMTS (and CAM) on all over 75s admitted but this is changing to under 65s and amts/ 4AT.
Various strategies to increase rates. What are you doing in other trusts?

The longer someone stays in hospital
The higher the risk of hospital acquired harm
Getting patients home is not just about "freeing beds" it's about giving them support in the right place and keeping them well. Keeping them in hospital longer than necessary adds to risks of harm

Activity trollies can be a great resource to engage patients who might otherwise feel bored or anxious in hospital.
We are grateful to @OxHospCharity and our volunteers for supporting us to use these on some of our medical wards.

Living with dementia can make understanding the world around you much more difficult.
Tasks that were once simple become more challenging and require greater concentration and effort.
Our staff have been appreciating this today through simple challenges as part of #DAW

I sometimes struggle with the guilt of non-working even when I don’t have to work. Like my value is intrinsically tied to how long I spend staring at a laptop. It’s August ffs. I am going out in the sun. I wrote this for me and anyone who else who wants to hear it.
