This is Los Cristianos in Tenerife. More than 3,300 illegal immigrants have arrived on the Canary Islands within the last week. The far-left Spanish government welcomes them, and the mainstream media remain silent.

£20,000 of taxpayers money spent today picking up Andy Burnham from Manchester on his way to the Caribbean. It’s only money!! Wonder if that will appear on his P11d!!

This is astounding. The government's own figures show working-age welfare will go up by £60 BILLION by 2030, yet the Treasury has to rush out and correct the Chancellor to say there is no timetable for cutting the benefits bill. Looks like foot in mouth syndrome is spreading. John Healey couldn't even find £10 billion to get defence spending to 3% of GDP - the thing he quit over. Don't let anyone tell you this was a 'do no harm budget'. In doing so little, Labour have harmed our economic security and they've harmed our national security.

While @andyburnham is looking into electoral reform can he also look at Parliament reform. Let’s start with cutting the number of MPs and Lords by 50% and setting those left measurable targets on outputs.

Scrap foreign aid, scrap asylum support, scrap benefits for the foreign born & stop people getting benefits & subsidised cars for ridiculous reasons. Save £40 BILLION a year. Put Brits and workers first.

Andrew Neil’s Brexit reality check on BBC Question Time. In a nutshell: Rejoiners are ignoring the huge political wind of change sweeping Europe and the UK v Germany/ France/ Italy growth rates make a nonsense of their Mickey Mouse economic arguments too. #bbcqt

Article 7 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) establishes one of the Convention’s core criminal‑law protections: no punishment without law. In essence, you cannot be convicted for something that wasn’t a criminal offence at the time you did it.

Remind me when you condemned these guys marching through the streets? Or is that different somehow, @NadiaWhittomeMP ?
When blackshirts are marching through the streets of Dover and Portsmouth, the focus shouldn’t be on the disruption they cause, but on their fascist ideology and deliberate intimidation of migrants and people of colour. The far-right, whether in suits or balaclavas, threatens all of our hard-won rights and protections. We must resist their violence and hatred in every way we can.

🚨 EMERGENCY WARNING TO EVERY PENSIONER IN GREAT BRITAIN: LABOUR IS PREPARING THE ULTIMATE WEALTH GRAB! If you worked hard for 40 years, paid your taxes, and saved for retirement, Prime Minister Andy Burnham has just placed a massive target firmly on your back. The highly influential IPPR think tank, which is packed with Burnham's own inner circle, just published the exact socialist blueprint Labour plans to use to bail out their bankrupt government. 🤡 Look at the terrifying three step robbery they are demanding for the October Budget. First, slapping National Insurance directly onto the incomes of 9.6 million British pensioners. Second, hiking capital gains tax to a staggering 40 percent to crush your investments. Third, a devastating 0.65 percent annual property wealth tax just for the privilege of living inside your own family home! They label you "wealthy" to justify stealing the nest egg you spent a lifetime building. Yet they magically find endless billions to house illegal arrivals in catered hotels without blinking an eye. They treat the generation that built this country like an absolute cash machine while engineering our total national decline. The mask has completely slipped. RT and SHARE this everywhere to warn every single retiree in Great Britain before Chancellor John Healey raids their bank accounts! 🇬🇧🔥

Perhaps he should introduce a similar security system used by NHS GP Surgery receptionists or alternatively the security walls to jump when contacting Virgin Media.

Well done to Jack Whaley who won the 126th United States Amateur Championship at Merion Golf Club. Jack is only the third Englishman to win the United States Amateur Championship, the other two were Matt Fitzpatrick 2013 and Harold Hilton won the title in 1911

Wind providing a mere 3% of UK electricity this morning. So we’re having to import 10 times that amount at massive cost. Plus generate almost the same from gas-fired stations expensively kept for this sort of back up. As a result we’re paying an average £136/MWh. Our energy policy is a costly shambles.
