$META stock is taking a beating.
As an advertising agency, we've spent millions on the platform on behalf of ourselves and our clients.
Here are 3 things Zuck & co need to focus on to win back investors' hearts and minds (#3 is one not many folks are talking about)

This seems kinda huge
Today @GoogleMaps is getting its biggest upgrade in over a decade. By combining our Gemini models with a deep understanding of the world, Maps now unlocks entirely new possibilities for how you navigate and explore. Here’s what you need to know 🧵
Highly relevant note here for those advertising on Google.
🚨 Attention Shopify merchants with Google tags 🚨
Shopify is updating its checkout experience & you may need to update your Google tags to preserve measurement.
In the coming months, you’ll need to update legacy implementations of tagging to the Google & YouTube app on Shopify before upgrading your Shopify ‘Thank you’ & ‘Order status’ pages.

Killer SEO strategy by @zapier
Also happens to be an extremely valuable tool 👍🏻
I researched @zapier's genius SEO strategy:
• 5M+ monthly visits
• 6M+ backlinks
• 100K+ keywords in the top 10 search results
But the crazy part? It doesn’t try to rank for its core keyword.
Here's the exact SEO playbook Zapier used to build a $5B business:
This is exciting, and could potentially be a major boost for eCom brands. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out and taking advantage of the first-mover opportunities for our brands!
We paired the 45 billion product listings in Google’s Shopping Graph with Gemini models to create the new Google Shopping, a transformed shopping experience rebuilt with AI - rolling out in the U.S. over the coming weeks ↓ goo.gle/3YmAWYv
These days, it seems Meta is intent on over-delivering ads to existing customers. The new audience segment breakdown makes this easier than ever to track. It may provide a performance boost for those leaning into ASCs, but if you're not careful, that well will quickly run dry.
Meta is trying to entertain people. Do that well (while selling), and you'll find success.
Google is trying to serve people relevant search results. Do that well (while selling), and you'll find success.
The key is understanding what both users & the platform find valuable
Great tips from one of the best to ever do it 🚀
Advice for people early in their agency career:
- Invest in yourself. You’re in charge of your education, learn how to teach yourself.
- Share your wins. If you do something awesome, shout it from the rooftops. Share screenshots.
- Help others. Share what you’ve learned with your team. Look for opportunities to lend a hand.
- Be thirsty. Try everything so you can figure out what you’re okay at, good at, great at and really freaking good at.
- Be concise. Your leadership team is busy putting out fires. Your clients are busy running their business. Make it easy for them to scan what you write.
- Show initiative. If you don’t know something try to figure it out. If you see a problem first. Own it and fix it.
- Make mistakes. When you do, just take ownership of them and share what you learned + options on how to fix it.
- Advocate for yourself. Saying yes is great. But saying yes to everything can get you in trouble if you’re not careful.
- Find a mentor. I wish I had someone to help guide me along in my career. Would have done less damage to myself and others. I always was too afraid to ask. I love being a mentor now. It’s super rewarding.
A fairly shocking claim from @AgencyAnalytics yesterday - they say that the new @klaviyo API, which will be mandatory in June, will not pass back any value parameters. Meaning, it'll be impossible to see your campaign/flow performance on any reporting platform. Hard to believe
Went to the ski hill tonight. Literally every single person was wearing the Apple Vision Pro, while skiing. Unbelievable
minROAS or value-based bidding really can do an amazing job driving higher AOVs…
But you still have to provide customers a logical path to that higher cart value. It’s as much a question of merchandizing as it is media buying 🛒

Sounds like a bid cap vs cost cap test was carried out across 100,000 advertisers last March. Would love to have a look at this study. @MrYoniLevy do you know if this study is public? @andrewjfaris wouldn't it be great to see the details of this experiment?
This has worked for us, too.
⚠️ Getting dozens of spam Facebook messages? Here's how to stop them (at least the 'guest')
Facebook Business Suite > Inbox > Settings > Chat Plugins > Customize your chat plugin > Turn off Guest Chat.
Apparently, Facebook made an update allowing users to message businesses without the need to create a user profile - AKA a new spam method.
Shoutout @paulo_dib for this tip! 🤝
When auditing Meta accounts, I still see situations quite often where the account is broken out by ad format. ie, an ASC for video ads, one for statics, another for carousels, etc.
Meta's studies have shown that creative diversification within each campaign is the way to go.1/3
So, you're better off breaking out your campaigns by ad, collection, or angle.
If you have a handful of products, breaking out by products makes sense.
Lots of SKUs? Break out by product type or collection.
Single SKU store? Break out by angle. 2/3
