From our friend George Guido @gguidobooks Burrell’s 53-48 win over Deer Lakes on Friday night was the highest scoring game in Burrell history - 101 points. The previous mark was 92. 2015 Burrell 62 Sto Rox 30 - and- 2018 Burrell 58 Waynesburg 34

The most impressive thing about the Steelers defense so far this year is how they’re consistently stopping the run even though they play only two true defensive linemen on most plays. And doing it with the same players as last year. Kudos to Pat Graham.

I don’t have a side in this Packers - Lions game. The Packers are getting hosed by the officials.

Dan Campbell says he’s aggressive. I say he’s reckless.

They should move National Tight Ends Day to a Monday so everyone gets the day off.

Au revoir Saints. 🇫🇷

Hard to convert when your left tackle keeps getting beat like a rented mule.

Bend but don’t break. I’ve heard that somewhere before. 🤔

Not that he’s giving too much cushion or anything but I think Asante Samuel is playing in Budapest.

So there’s no recourse when they botch an expedited review ? Alrighty then.

Hat tip to @DVEMike for his monologue on Steelers pregame this morning. Jimmy Buffett hit just the right note this morning. 🇫🇷 🦜

Here’s Burrell at Deer Lakes from last night. Spoiler alert - it features 101 combined points and a gadget play for the ages. Burrell at Deer Lakes HS Varsity Football 10-23-2026 youtube.com/live/BBntN2utnHA… via @YouTube

I support a Constitutional amendment to ban intentional grounding. The spirit of the rule has been completely lost in all the meetings that take place before a flag is even thrown. Did he throw it away to avoid a loss ? That should be the only criterion.

The final score of last night’s Burrell - Deer Lakes game was … Burrell 53 Deer Lakes 48 Seeing some discrepancies, it was not 53-47. @TribLiveHSSN @WPIAL_Insider @mwhiteburgh @BREAL412 @Mlove_Trib

The 3rd clip is a fake quick kick. Can’t say I’ve seen that one before.
