The talk I gave on "Interaction Design for Data Vis" @forwardJS is up. Applying #UX or #HCI principles to #datavis. youtu.be/KRm4CVxx9pw
Spent a couple minutes thinking about rendering text using graphs this morning and built a quick tool to render any text in any font using it.
Did some quick #datavis work this week on top of @ForecastByNPE's open datasets. Feels good to play with @observablehq for the first time and d3 again.

With the margin in Georgia now at about 4,000 votes, I'm thinking about the ~60,000 people represented in this analysis I did, of early voting wait times in Gwinnett County, and about the poll workers who counted (and will now recount) all of their votes 🙏

While we are still stewing in all of this uncertainty I put a post out on how I've been coping with it over the several months.

When building @ForecastByNPE we wanted to ensure the platform is transparent from the get go. Last week we launched forecastapp.net/downloads to let others analyze and tell stories from the data our community creates.

I really don't want this to happen but I'm still expecting it to :'(

It's been a while since I've done vis work but this was a fun and unexpected #d3brokeandmadeart...
It's more of a "I incorrectly edited a topojson file and made art"

These are some of the best visualizations of uncertainty that the public accepts the uncertainty and interprets as best as we can.

Biggest #storytelling I’ve worked on all year, I’m personally proudest of the 9 videos, 2 static + 3 animated #dataviz we got working on 📱. It shows how technically far I’ve come in the past year✨
