Your service to our nation represents the highest calling of citizenship – a willingness to put the needs of others before your own. While we can never fully repay the debt we owe you, we stand ready to support your journey, whatever path it may take.

Please take the time to learn more about the impact of trauma on our lives.
We need to become more aware of Post Traumatic Stress. We had the privilege of sponsoring and listening to Travis Howze (former marine, firefighter, and police officer) address this issue to First Responders a few days ago. Incredible and touching. post-gazette.com/news/health…

Let’s not let with China or Russia win this war that they have planted within “us.” The only way anyone can win over this great nation is by dividing us. United we stand; Divided we fall.
It’s most often the case that a nation's greatest war is with itself, over whether or not it can make the hard decisions needed to sustain success. As for what we need to do, it comes down to just two things: 1. Earn more than we spend and 2. Treat each other well. (1/2)
With deep sadness, I wanted to share the passing of a great human-being and teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh. Each day, at home, I am reminded by one of his beautiful calligraphy sayings. A big loss to humanity when we need such wisdom ever more.

Well said @EdLatimore. We can either serve humanity or hurt it. I believe our minds have taken many of us over, much like HAL 9000 in Arthur C Clarke and Stanley Kubrick’s film 2001 Space Odyssey.
Our evolution has been largely driven by external competiton. It's been to gain control of the physical world. And we've mostly won. Now the threat is ourselves. For us to survive the future, we must evolve emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Right now, we are losing. Bad

I recall our 8 year old telling us many years ago that Awareness is THE KEY to opening all doors :-) It is the key to happiness and fulfillment, for sure.
Awareness is THE KEY to beginning to unwind our anxiety: it helps us pay attention to our behaviors in the present moment & reset our habits by hacking into our brain's reward system. See how: 1) unrewarding worrying is 2) rewarding curiosity is 3) Repeat drjud.com/book/

May I be safe May I be peaceful May I be kind and compassionate to myself May I accept myself as I am.
Research suggests that at-risk adolescent boys are capable of far more nuanced and skilled emotional performances than they are often given credit for. Mindfulness activities may offer opportunities for them to develop more positive mindsets.
