Notes from UNM Spring Practice yesterday (4/6/26) - LB Trent Rocker had nice day, and got to the quarterback a few times. He's got some nasty to him, and he already looks like one of the hardest hitters on the team. -QB Toa Fa'avae was on fire yesterday, and threw 3 TDs to a the TE trio (Tripp Walsh, Cade Keith, and Simon Mapa). -WR Massiah Mingo, an early enrollee from Bishop Gorman HS, made a ton of plays and showed some prowess in contested catch situations. -EDGE Carlos Barela, freshman from La Cueva HS, is no longer with the team (confirmed by UNM) -DE Darren Agu practiced, and though not 100%, was able to log a couple of QB pressures. -WR Evan Wysong has had a nice Spring Camp, and looks like he put on some muscle. Wysong can seperate, and has some juice after the catch. -DB Kevin Longstreet had a nice diving PBU, love his recovery speed as well. -OT Cole Millward, who transferred from Weber St. to UNM, is a dancing bear out there. The 6'6" OT has had a nice Spring Camp thus far. -During the last play of practice, DE Jack Burzynski got injured. Attended to by medicial staff was able to walk off under his own power, hopefully nothing too serious. -Guys getting reps as a return specialist: WR DJ Darling, S Marco Beltran Jr., WR Massiah Mingo, RB Deshaun Buchanan, and WR Zhaiel Smith. #NewMexico #unmlobos #golobos #mountainwest #albuquerque
