Great to have another site operational with significant results! Since February 2022, we pilot our Mirai ScreenTM technology at the greenhouse on the campus of the @KAUST_News for an excellent test bed in a region that is prone to water scarcity.

The results from the experiment have demonstrated an average energy yield of 66.6 kWh/m2/year (between March and December 2022). This is sufficient to run most mid-tech greenhouses in the region off grid.

The dual use of the Mirai Screen for ideal shading and electricity generation offers an opportunity to maximize the economic output since the energy yield of the solar screens is always in sync with the highest demand for shading and cooling of the greenhouse.
