It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

So much news about model providers offering their own runtime guardrails against rogue AI agents. That's a massive conflict: similar to a bank performing an independent audit - model providers and hyperscalers cannot verify themselves. Read my white paper: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.…
2) Humanoid robots consume significant power for actuators (think the muscles of a robot), what's needed then? High-torque electric actuators. Tactile sensors with sub-millimeter precision. Modular joints for dynamic balance.
Sound challenging? Sure is.
1) lack the precision needed for robotic tasks like real-time environmental perception and object manipulation. Domain-specific AI models are required.
Data & Controls Engineers must together build tools to identify anomalies in sensor data, joint movements, task performance
4) A strong America requires (to borrow from Dan Goldin, NASA's 9th Chief), 'courageous collaboration, and a widespread commitment to [solving] hard problems' not a wholesale 'deleting' of the good men and women who have served this nation's interests and principles.
3) ... that if you have an open role right now, make sure to consider these unsung heroes: now is the time we pay our dues and uplift those who have been let down.
Remember: service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.
2) This is a reminder to those federal workers of the Latin saying 'ad astra per aspera,' to the stars through hardships.
This is also an open call, to my peers, colleagues, and cohorts in the enterprise and startup space across the United States
1) My heart goes out to all the federal workers right now - you inherently understand the principle of service before self. A lifetime ago, I worked with several U.S. agencies and know firsthand, the good, hardworking, smart, and dedicated men and women who serve the government

Wow, someone just released a notebook to train a reasoning LLM with the new RL algorithm from DeepSeek, GRPO.
In <2 hours, you can transform a very small model, Qwen 0.5 (500 million parameters) into a tiny math reasoning machine.

We trained a robot dog to balance and walk on top of a yoga ball purely in simulation, and then transfer zero-shot to the real world. No fine-tuning. Just works.
I’m excited to announce DrEureka, an LLM agent that writes code to train robot skills in simulation, and writes more code to bridge the difficult simulation-reality gap. It fully automates the pipeline from new skill learning to real-world deployment.
The Yoga ball task is particularly hard because it is not possible to accurately simulate the bouncy ball surface. Yet DrEureka has no trouble searching over a vast space of sim-to-real configurations, and enables the dog to steer the ball on various terrains, even walking sideways!
Traditionally, the sim-to-real transfer is achieved by domain randomization, a tedious process that requires expert human roboticists to stare at every parameter and adjust by hand. Frontier LLMs like GPT-4 have tons of built-in physical intuition for friction, damping, stiffness, gravity, etc. We are (mildly) surprised to find that DrEureka can tune these parameters competently and explain its reasoning well.
DrEureka builds on our prior work Eureka, the algorithm that teaches a 5-finger robot hand to do pen spinning. It takes one step further on our quest to automate the entire robot learning pipeline by an AI agent system. One model that outputs strings will supervise another model that outputs torque control.
We open-source everything! Welcome you all to check out the paper, more videos, and try the codebase today: eureka-research.github.io/dr…
