Teacher:
Give the spinner a whirl!
📢Our education system is broken!
Buildings are crumbling, colleagues leave in their droves and our children suffer because of it.

Remember Stephen Lawrence.
A revised national curriculum to prevent racism and value cultural diversity was a recommendation from MacPherson following Stephen's murder.
We still aren't there yet.

Rather delighted (and still a bit in disbelief) to say I've passed my viva with minor corrections and am now a Dr.
Homeless to Dr in 20 years. What a journey.
Amazing day with my year 12’s experiencing the trading floor at Coventry Uni 🥰 @Amethyst6th
Great to reminisce about my time in my uni investment club! 🏦
A great day with year 12 @AmethystAcademy law, business and finance students at @covcampus the "stocks and shares" activity proved to be quite competitive. Thank you for accommodating us @AldersleyHighSc @AldersleyCEIAG
Had a great first day in the @StaffsUniIOE EdD Saturday school 📚my mind is already buzzing with ideas and thoughts to bring back to @AldersleyHighSc 🥰 What a pleasure to meet the rest of the cohort and start our journey!

Our union is 75% women. The rocketing workloads and pay erosion are underpinned by this government fundamentally devaluing women's work.
Too many women in education are forced to go part time to work full time as education is a profession no longer compatible with family life.
I want us to change that.
A special shout out to support staff members this #IWD24 - a workforce of 98% women. You are underpaid and over worked - but we all know you are the life blood of every school and college.
Make sure you've voted YES to action on funding and pay. We can change things together.
In the week my fab year 13’s are getting their UCAS offers I got one of my own 📚🤩 Starting my doctoral journey! @MatWinzor thanks for constantly reminding me to apply for this, I’m very grateful for the nudge 🥰 Dr Carter in Progress #DoctorOfEducation #ResearchEd

When I say “Build relationships” with your students, I’m saying “Just be a decent human-being to kids.” It’s not an add-on or something more to do. It’s treating kids like they’re human.
