The year 3 and 4 classes have demonstrated superb problem solving skills in my paper cup challenge this week. They were able to work in their teams to stack the cups in different ways without using their hands 👏🏼 @Richmond_HT #Beaproblemsolver #TheHarmonyPledge

Earlier today, children from @Richmond_HT and Westwood Academy were invited to meet #Oldham’s new Mayor for the very first time in his parlour.
During their visit, pupils had the opportunity to ask questions to Cllr @ChauhanZahid about his new role, the borough and loads more!

What a fantastic afternoon our Children’s Leadership Team have had meeting the new Mayor of Oldham @ChauhanZahid !
They loved visiting the council chambers, asking lots of questions and having a tour of the Mayor’s Parlour. The children left feeling very inspired ✨@Richmond_HT
This morning we celebrated the fabulous home learning that our LKS2 pupils completed over half term. Our Y3s completed research and projects all about the River Nile and our Y4s completed lots of fantastic fact files about the Vikings✨ #beanexpertlearner @Richmond_HT
Yesterday Coral Class had their first lesson of orienteering in PE. Their first lesson was all about reading symbols. They had to look at a picture and use the symbols and key to collect the correct equipment. Here are some of the pictures they made 🌟
Yesterday, Coral Class performed 2 poems in our KS2 assembly. After their performance, they were presented with an Adjudicator’s Special Commendation Award which they received for their incredible performance of the same 2 poems at the Choral Speaking Festival 🌟 @Richmond_HT
Coral Class have had a wonderful afternoon celebrating the coronation of King Charles III 👑They have written a fabulous fact file about the King, created an eye-catching collage and sang the national anthem. What a fantastic afternoon they have had! 🇬🇧

On Monday, Year 3 had an insight into what life was like in Ancient Egyptian times. They had a fantastic time with @HistoricWksps exploring ancient artefacts, being a scribe, playing ancient Egyptian games and learning about the process of mummification 🌟 @Richmond_HT

Last week was science week @Richmond_HT and in Coral Class we completed a super STEM activity all about finger prints. We used our observation skills and noticed that all of our finger prints are different and have different patterns. How interesting it was! ✨
What a brilliant day we had on Friday, fundraising for @comicrelief
The CLT did a fantastic job of selling cakes and biscuits at our bake sale and all classes hosted a terrific talent show within their classrooms.
