First post for our battlefields trip to Belgium and France - students individually had a soldier to follow linked to their area of Barnsley or in Noahâs case, his ancestor. They took a moment of silence and delivered a cross to their soldier @TrinityAcadStE
It was an incredible trip filled with many more fantastic sites and Iâm sure that students have come away with amazing experiences and lots of gained knowledge. We were so impressed with the details remembered from all of our visits in the end of trip quiz night! @TrinityAcadStE
A big thanks to staff for taking time out of half term to facilitate this trip and especially to Mrs Shuffley for a jam packed and incredibly organised experience. We even found a new mascot 𤊠@TrinityAcadStE

On Tuesday Tim, a second generation Holocaust survivor is delivering a talk to a group of Y9 students. A topic we have focused on meticulously, as a department given a rise in antisemitic violence. This ties in to the work we will do for Holocaust Memorial Day @TrinityAcadStE
Weâve been working on annotation with y10 this week. They searched for information about Medieval beliefs of causes, treatments and preventions of the Black Death within a story, linking to prior knowledge on Medieval health đŠş@TrinityAcadStE
7 Thompson were fantastic at working out the definition of âautobiographyâ by breaking down the word into parts!
This weekâs involve was investigating how âbloodyâ Bloody Mary actually was. Students plotted information given on a scale and practiced their âwriting like a historianâ skills that weâve been developing within lessons đ
