Today was the Haliburton County Track & Field Meet. 380 athletes and their families from our 5 schools came out to the HHSS track. It was great to see so many smiling faces by all and a lot of great competition. Very thankful for all our volunteers for making this day possible.
It was great seeing all our kids enjoy electives this afternoon. Our awesome teachers @JDHodgsonES ran a variety of stations that allowed kids to engage in activities they enjoy!

On Saturday we got the deliver a whole trailer load of food to our local food bank on behalf of all the @JDHodgsonES students who went above and beyond during our 10 Day of Giving Food Drive! You rock Jags!
It was a great afternoon for a JDH students AND Staff vs Haliburton County Huskies ball hockey tournament! Thank you @HuskiesJrA for partnering with @JDHodgsonES on this! Lots of fun had by all!

NBE3C students finished creating our StoryWalk today using the book "The Orange Shirt Story". The walk follows the forest path from JDH to HHSS, and allows those completing it to reflect on the impact of Residential Schools in Canada. @HHSS_RedHawks @TLDSB_FNIM #OrangeShirtDay

I’ve spent a lot of time reading this summer, including previewing a few books for my lending library @JDHodgsonES . Highly recommend these 3. This graphic novel version of Crossover would be great for a small group book club!
Loving this presentation by HPEDSB at the @LDatSchool EI today. They have put well thought and researched systems in place to support teachers, students and collect meaningful standardized data to implement interventions to improve reading skills!
