For Lent this week, we are fasting from complaining and feasting on kindness. 💜 Year 4 have created a Lenten Kindness Calendar with a thoughtful gesture for each day, and today they delivered cards to the ‘unsung heroes’ in our school. 🌟

Our class loved creating their own classification keys 🌿🔍 We explored the school grounds and discovered all sorts of species: daffodils, grass, daisies and even some lavender. So many exciting finds! 🌼🌱💜 #AmbitiousCurriculum

We ended the week with a special treat, time in the library after winning a Golden Ticket on World Book Day! It was wonderful to relax, read together, and wear our blue colours for Bobby. 💙 #EveryChildAReader #WearBlueforBobby

Year 4 got creative this week, painting the reunion of the Prodigal Son and using colour to express each character’s emotions. Such thoughtful, reflective work from everyone! 🎨✝️#ChristAtTheCentre

Year 4 engaged thoughtfully in their maths lesson today by drawing number lines directly onto the tables to strengthen their understanding of decimal number bonds to a whole number. #CultureForSuccess

A lively maths lesson for Year 4 today as they played decimal snap! The first to explain which number was greater won the point. Great teamwork, great thinking, and great fun comparing numbers to one decimal place. #AmbitiousCurriculum

Year 4 enjoyed taking their Celebration of the Word outdoors this week as we focused on our Lenten theme: “fast on social media, feast on nature.” We also spent a few peaceful moments in quiet meditation, reflecting on Jesus in the wilderness and the calm he found there.

Year 4 explored deforestation in the Amazon, debating its positive and negative consequences. A powerful discussion, especially when considering the impact on wildlife and indigenous communities. 🌳🔥

Year 4 headed out to our nature trail today, spotting all kinds of invertebrates and turning their findings into their own pictogram of data #AmbitiousCurriculum
