PLEASE, get comfortable with going to events, movies, concerts, coffee shops, museums by yourself so you don't miss out on life waiting on people

PLEASE teach your kids about special needs kids, and how to be respectful to all of them.

the special olympics worked really hard when we were kids to stop casual use of the r word and it seems like gen z loves using it (especially on social media) and i gotta say that really sucks

We’re teachers. Of course, we get the Sunday scaries.
We’re teachers. When one break ends, we start counting down to the next one.
We’re teachers. It’s not even tomorrow yet, but we’re already exhausted.
We’re teachers. We don’t do it for the fame or fortune.
Thank you @Northplace for the best field trip yesterday! We had a blast and even got to see some of our favorites💚☃️🎅🏼

Me: Ooh an email who’s that from?
Every. Single. Time. 🤦🏻♀️
Thank you @gisdnews and @GISDSpecialEd for the opportunity to work with the same people who raised and impacted me and my family and for allowing me to recreate my favorite childhood memories every year💖

A special education teacher’s experience working at school is way different from a general education teacher’s experience working at school.
A kid stopped me at the store today and said “Hey Miss Lee! You probably don’t recognize me but I’m in 5th grade at Cooper. How come I never see you around school anymore? There’s some random lady in your room with the little kids now” dang kid. Way to hit me in the feels🥺🥺🥺
