I love nearly every little stupid thing about my wife. But the part of her that turns off Radiohead in the morning because it’s not how she wants to start her day offends me.

Celebrating my parents, who will probably never see this Tweet. They’re presently enjoying the first weeklong “vacation” that they’ve ever allowed themselves, since the honeymoon they enjoyed as 20 year olds, a few months before I was born, some 41 years ago. Well deserved.
Watching my kid do awesome things. Relaxing in the shade before another bike race. Can’t wait to see the olympics!
The theme of this week’s time in CA is cars are terrible, bikes rule and when I do drive, I’m proud not to be a California driver anymore.
Today I’m celebrating the gradual return to normalcy with others like me who got a significant chunks of their fitness from bicycle (&/or pedestrian) commuting. Feels so great to be back on the streets!

After a month of the boy being back in school—2.25 hours a morning, 4 days a week—you start to remember that lazy wake ups on Saturdays are nice, and you have another way to acknowledge the slow progress we’re making. ✌️🤓
And today, it’s 8:34 in the morning, my vaccination was scheduled yesterday, the kitchen is clean, it’s quiet and I just realized I’ve already been focused and working for 15 minutes. Progress, sweet progress!
This week my son is in school for 8 hours—2 hours a day, four days a week. The past couple mornings my wife and I have spent 40 minutes of this precious time reloading the website to schedule my vaccine only to have it repeatedly time out and crash on us. 🥳🤙
On the topic of student loan debt...
I’m just going to celebrate the fact that I worked my ass of to put myself through college and 15 years later, my wife and I made my last full student loan payment this month.
🥳🎉
I am tuned for rapid scanning and processing of contextual information to facilitate fast forward movement. My speed is built from efficiency gains and captured / sustained momentum. I am very linear but make decisions and change quickly. Exploration and creative flow motivate me
My mom was mostly deaf as a child and still fights with severe dyslexia as a result. And yet, she writes me the most beautiful text messages. 😊
Thank you @jonfavs @jonlovett @TVietor08 and @danpfeiffer!
I wouldn’t have survived the last 4 years without your genuine, honest, uniquely honorable and patriotic perspective.
