I got stuff done today!🥳 There’s a zoom function to zoom in whenever you want! And I added some items! Best part is that they’re all modified @KayLousberg assets! The stacks of paper were literally the stacks of money from the resource set!

I wanted the town in Farm & Feast to feel alive, so I added people walking around. Here's how I did it. Also thanks @KenneyNL for the cars. You can try it in our demo now!

I think @Etsy did really well with this change in policy!

I have no clue how Reddit works, this was my first post and it honestly did really well!! All my others posts since then have only gotten less than 10 upvotes 🤔

Tried adding some very bad looking paths! I’m just glad I got it to work! Now I’m off to my final exams, see y’all in 2 weeks!🙂‍↕️

Cutie-patootie is in danger again 😭 Back to working on character behaviors and simple animations. Giving them more ways to react to the world, interact with each other, and get into trouble. The little story in this clip isn't scripted at all. It's all driven by the behavior system — perception, states, goals, item use, and problem solving. #gamedev #indiegame

Thanks for all the feedback! I added the suggested camera rotation! Now you can see where you’re going haha!
Not sure how to make this look better 😭 There’s some areas where you can’t see where you’re going so I figured - see through everything! - but it just doesn’t look right? Send help pls🥲 (Don’t worry about the items and windows, those would disappear too)

I have the same issue here🥲 there’s so much in between the islands but you can’t really see it I don’t wanna make the circle huge though but this just looks odd I was thinking of maybe switching camera angles..? But that won’t work for every area…

I’m also planning on adding paths to the ground so it’s a little bit more diverse and obvious where you can walk

Guess this will have to do until I gather some funds to hire an animator 🥲 It’s something at least!

Journey for me! That game got me through so much and it’s been out for 10+ years now! I still love to play it❤️
Rapaziada vcs ja amaram tanto mas TANTO um jogo que só de estar na tela de menu tu fica com vontade de chorar?

This is just sad😢 It really makes me rethink posting about my game anymore 😭
Someone recreated my game with AI and is now threatening to publish it on Steam unless I pay him $200. Obviously, I'm not paying. First video: my actual game. Second video: the AI-generated clone. He apparently found my game through Twitter, fed it into an AI tool, and recreated what he saw. Now he's asking for $200 or he'll publish it. I’m sharing this as a heads-up because I assume I’m probably not the only indie dev he's doing this to. I guess we have to be more careful about sharing our projects publicly now. You can spend months making a game, post it online, and someone can apparently try to recreate it with AI almost immediately. Not gonna lie, it’s kind of funny, but also not funny at all. #indiedev #indiegame #unity

The shader is now based on if you have access to the building or not! Open door/inside: acces granted so full view! Closed door: no more access so obscured view! I must say I like it this way, gives NPC’s some privacy haha

Made some changes based on the feedback from Reddit! Still not quite there yet (there’s a ton of imperfections lol) A suggestion was to darken the outside world when you’re in a building, should I try that too?

I’ll probably remove the dithering because it does make it kinda hard to see inside!

I posted it on Reddit too and got really nice feedback! I’ll be adding a camera zoom so you can zoom in whenever you want to hopefully make it a little bit more immersive I’ll also try lowering the wall fading speed a lil bit
I’m having a blast working on my game! Added a door that opens both ways depending on which side you’re standing Added a shader that lets you see through the walls of a house! Just need to figure out if houses should fade out completely when you’re behind it too🤔
