MARKET MOMMY .@dontbsalti — LET'S TALK ABOUT THOSE PRIVATE MESSAGES. ☕️🍿
For someone who spends so much time calling out alleged scammers, attacking prop firms, and questioning everyone else's integrity in the trading community, these are some pretty interesting conversations to be having behind the scenes.
A few weeks ago, a woman reached out to me about her experience working with Salti.
They originally connected over Salti's criticism of Vest Markets. They started talking about crypto, perpetual futures, and eventually building a website together.
According to this woman, she spent weeks sharing trading knowledge, ideas, and information while Salti worked on developing the website.
But here's something else she told me that I find disturbing.
She claims that because Salti disliked Vest Markets, Salti encouraged her to blow her Vest trading account.
Think about that for a second.
A trader allegedly being encouraged to destroy her own trading account because someone else has a personal issue with the firm.
The woman also told me she was uncomfortable with some of Salti's proposed strategies, but she trusted her judgment and allowed Salti to take the lead.
She now believes that trust was misplaced.
And this is exactly why I keep saying that traders need to think for themselves rather than blindly follow personalities on social media.
BUT THE VEST ACCOUNT ISN'T EVEN THE MOST CONCERNING PART.
The private marketing conversations are.
One of the screenshots discusses:
"1 fake agency 2 scam accounts 3 prop compare site for crypto"
Read that again.
A FAKE AGENCY.
ACCOUNTS DESCRIBED AS SCAM ACCOUNTS.
AND A CRYPTO PROP FIRM COMPARISON WEBSITE.
These aren't words I'm making up. They're in the messages.
Another conversation discusses approaching TikTok accounts through a fake agency and earning commissions on sales.
And in another exchange about someone buying a product after seeing it promoted, the response includes:
"not my fault"
Seriously?
This is the same trading community where people are constantly being warned about misleading promotions, questionable affiliates, and scams.
And these are the kinds of marketing ideas being discussed privately?
BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE.
The woman also alleges that she and Salti attempted to purchase established social media accounts with large follower counts, at approximately $800 per account.
According to her, they paid but never received the accounts.
I haven't seen the payment confirmations, so that part remains her allegation.
But the messages discussing fake agencies and accounts are right there for everyone to read.
And that brings me to my biggest issue with all of this.
THE HYPOCRISY.
How are you going to spend your days publicly tearing down people in this industry, accusing others of scamming traders, and questioning everyone's ethics while having conversations like these behind closed doors?
What exactly was the plan?
Why discuss a fake agency?
Why discuss accounts described as scam accounts?
And what was the intended purpose of those accounts in promoting a trading-related business?
Because the community deserves answers to those questions.
I have absolutely no problem with exposing actual scams. I've always believed traders deserve transparency.
But I have a BIG problem with people using accusations of fraud as a weapon against everyone they dislike while expecting their own conduct to go unquestioned.
And let's not forget the woman who says she spent weeks helping develop this project.
She says she contributed ideas, knowledge, and time, only to find herself questioning whether she was still involved while the website was being promoted.
The messages show her repeatedly trying to get clarity about their working relationship.
And here's where things stand as of November 6th.
According to this woman, Salti still hasn't had another conversation with her to resolve what happened.
Weeks of working together, sharing ideas, and building a website, and now she's left wondering what happened to the partnership.
Meanwhile, the project had already been promoted publicly.
Imagine investing your time into helping someone build something, only to be left chasing answers about whether you're even involved anymore.
I'm not going to rewrite the entire conversation to suit anyone's narrative.
THE SCREENSHOTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.
You can read what was discussed, what each person said, and how things unfolded. You built yourself as this ethical person (despite the fact we know you are a liar) but you did it to gain a following... you never cared about the trading community.
And Salti, since you're so comfortable putting everyone else's business under a microscope, I assume you won't mind the trading community taking a closer look at yours.
Because the same standards you demand from everyone else should apply to you.
I'm beyond tired of the constant accusations, personal attacks, and people treating this industry like their own personal battlefield.
There are enough genuine problems in trading without adding questionable marketing practices to the mix.
YOU DON'T GET TO DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY AND THEN EXPECT NONE FOR YOURSELF.
I'll leave the conversations here.
Read them. Judge them for yourselves.
And remember, discussing a plan doesn't prove it was carried out. But why would she allegedly pay so much money for fake accounts if she wasn't going to carry it out? Absolutely gives people a reason to ask what the plan was. I am sure you all already know... there are many screenshots I will not post but this here is all you need to see. Which prop firm's is she partnered with?! Is this the type of a person and type of marketing strategy they want to work with?
I have plenty of other screenshots but we will see if I release them...
🍿

I had been in Lanto’s Discord from early 2023 until earlier this year. I defended him from naysayers in the group and on X, distilled his content into guides early on, and built the chatbot that new members used. This weekend’s fiasco confirmed conclusively what OGs had been flagging for some time.
Fintwit prop firm influencers are “successful” through survivorship bias and volume, not edge.
Buy enough independent attempts and pure luck eventually produces large winners, even when the underlying approach has little or no positive expected value once net on the portfolio is established. Those big runs are the ones that the public gets to see. The average guy in the audience is running 2, 4, maybe 5 accounts on average while paying discord fees to "learn how to trade"
Recent public examples among many in the fintwit affiliate and influencer space:
@dhesi_trades - 170+ accounts
@thebrianstonk - 240+ accounts
@lanto_trades - 819+ accounts
5-6 in eval or S2F fees on just one firm.
Eventually something hits. The run gets screenshotted and turned into content that's used for the next 10 months of promotions for the group, or pushed in promo videos encouraging use of an affiliate code. The costs typically don't see the light of day. Screenshots get cropped (usually), account numbers are hidden, the actual PNL on the machine is kept private.
The machine:
1. subscription fees, course sales, and affiliate commissions fund more accounts
2. more accounts make a big winner close to inevitable
3. the big runs, sell more subscriptions, courses, and garner more aff code use
Repeat.
The prop firm space is inherently dirty, relies on ponzinomics, and is unfixable; it's by design.
But the affiliate and furu space - that props implicitly encourage - is dirtier.
Fresh cash from courses, subs, and affiliate payouts keeps the account volume flowing so the occasional big payouts can be marketed as a skill taught to their followers.
The trading can lose money, but the machine still wins, because the audience pays for step 2 of the machine.
Now look at what's sold. Courses, discord subs, mentorships, and an implied promise to teach a skill to escape the rat race.
Learn this IFVG. Take this unicorn. Manage your risk. Trade the system. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and use code DUMB.
The average member can't play the volume game and nobody tells them that is in fact their mentor's game.
I left for three reasons: the quality of members in the group declined after the TPT run-up and subsequent repeat promotions leveraging that run, OGs who asked questions were treated poorly, and some kept raising exactly the disclosure issues that surfaced this weekend.
Buy enough attempts.
Hide or minimize the cost.
Market the winners as skill.
Accept money from people who cannot realistically replicate the process.
You can pick whatever word or phrase you want for this machine that is pervasive in this "industry."
Mine is "fraud."

this will be my last post on the matter. read it. it's important.
lanto opened this up.
he renamed his vest accounts so his screenshots showed accounts 41 to 50 when he was on account 819. he told someone he spent "$21k" when it was around $300k. then he admitted on video, "i completely understand how this could have been misleading."
the P&L was real. the cost behind it was hidden, and those posts were selling code SMART and his discord. 3 firms cut ties with him within hours.
and it's the same playbook across the group.
the live logins i've seen only ever show the 1D view. big green days get posted, the red days and the account spend don't.
then it's affiliate codes, and now dhesitrades.com, where you leave your name, number and email and "a team member will reach out to you" about an application-only program.
one guy doing this is one thing. this is a group with 230k+ followers across X, youtube and instagram between them, tied to the same affiliate company. smart prop firm says it has 20k+ active traders, and vest says lanto's commissions ran through a code shared with brian and dhesi.
every road points beginners the same way: a discord, code SMART, a sales funnel. that's not one bad post, it's a business model.
this is exactly what the FTC and state attorneys general go after. section 5 of the FTC Act bans deceptive marketing, and an ad can be deceptive even if you never meant it to be. posting payouts while leaving out what it cost to get them can count. so can pushing a code without saying you get paid on it.
every state has its own version of that law, and AGs enforce it:
- in august idaho's AG settled with justin werlein of tactical traders. his ads said he went from delivering pizzas to $700k+ in trading profits, then he admitted he never made a profit. he's barred from running a similar business and has to refund customers.
- the FTC and nevada's AG sued IM Mastery Academy in 2025 over trading earnings claims aimed at young people.
- warrior trading paid $3M after the FTC said its "results not typical" disclaimers didn't fix its earnings claims.
beginners are the ones buying the evals, paying for the discord and filling out the form. that's who these laws protect.

never thought i'd do some shit like this but i actually filed an FTC report. lanto has been deceiving beginner traders for way too long
819 accounts yolo'd just to funnel traders into his whop and affiliate codes. shameful
this is not the first time. the deception has to stop

i try my absolute best to stay out of drama but this is fucking gold
@lanto_trades posted yesterday he made $500k after only buying 40 accounts with vest. edited the account names to reflect 40-50ish.
then accidentally uploads the uncropped screenshot of account 819. deletes. reuploads the cropped version.
you too can probably make $500k after 819 yolos.

a big update tonight for the vest copier.
update and read the changelog:

I made the first @VestExchange trade copier with the sole purpose of making it free. I saw a market and could already see people wanting to make an expensive copier lol. It's up to you if you want to use a fast, and free copier or pay $100 to copy trade 10 accounts.
