Y’all, this federal judge for the Eastern District of North Carolina was my criminal law professor in law school. I can’t breathe I’m laughing so hard.
Replying to @socialistdogmom
ok never mind it was all worth it just to accidentally stumble across this exchange between a judge, a prosecutor, and a federal agent where only the judge knows who biggie smalls is

I'm not surprised that Adobe is acquiring Figma for $20B, nor that Wall Street doesn't understand it and $ADBE stock is down more than $20B today. It's a smart move for Adobe because it's nearly impossible to make legacy software applications multi-user collaborative. Thread: 🧵

The challenge is that not enough legal work is highly repetitive such that it can be automated. Everyone wants to skip to the tech solution, but making legal work repetitive (vis open standards) is the first step here. – at Toronto, Ontario
Every highly repetitive legal service that is not built into a piece of software will be built into a piece of software. How much of the legal industry is software waiting to happen?

Finished the last episode of Severance last night and it occurred to me that the procedure is an ideal solution for clearing conflicts at big firms. An ethical wall inside your head. On certain types of matters the same lawyer could act for both sides.

Good discussion on contract standardization from the experts at Microsoft, including @smuckwell. Correctly ties standardization to biz and legal ops. If left to legal subject matter specialists, contracts and related processes will remain as they are, inefficient and wasteful.

There's a strong case that standardization should be added to @cloc_org's core competencies. Corp legal depts should be the ones driving this forward and legal ops is the natural home.

This happened to me in undergrad. Walked up to a guy I shared a few classes with when he was at the butterfly machine and spoke for a good 30 seconds before he interrupted to explain he was visiting his twin brother from out of town.
There’s this guy at the gym that I frankly thought was possessed, schizophrenic or something. Some days he’d be super friendly, other days he’d be cold like he never knew me Found out today he’s an identical twin
