Person-to-person transactions, merchant payments up to ₹2,000 (per transaction) and AutoPay (recurring payments) will continue without MDR. Small individual merchants receiving up to ₹1 lakh a month into their own accounts will also remain outside its ambit.

❌ No charge for all merchants on UPI payments below ₹2,000
