ICYMI: I wrote about Spurs' gamble on Sávio and Omar Marmoush for @TheTransferFlow. The piece looks at:
- Each's rise to stardom in Spain & Germany
- Issues while with Manchester City
- Can the expensive bet work and help Spurs return to relevance?

Kawhi... I'm willing to give you another ~10 games to start ramping up to all-NBA form, but in the meantime please for the love of god bring back the braid. Give me even aesthetic reasons to feel safe about you not being washed lol
Unironically Leonard Miller and Zach Edey hold the fate of Canada's 2028 Olympic roster in their hands given the current state of Canadian bigs

EA confirms they are developing an Open World football game and seemingly separate from Madden and College Football.

Dawg if you can't find value at £80m, you should be nowhere near the sport of football
🚨🎙️ Johan Lange on #THFC’s summer spending; 💰
“After all, these are the same amounts that competitors pay. All clubs’ scouting networks are so good these days that finding a player that others have overlooked, in a league that no one has heard of, for a tenth of the price – that race is over. ❌
It certainly raises expectations (the money spent), but it’s not because I think about it every day. I think all clubs think it’s hard to find good players. ✍️
For people who aren’t into football, it might sound completely insane that there aren’t a lot of players to choose from when you have £80m. But how many players have the quality to justify such an investment?
For every player you buy, you might have three or five clubs you talk to. If we need a right winger, we might be talking about five different players, five clubs, five agents. That’s a lot of balls to keep in the air at the same time.” 🤷♂️

There are talented players across Europe's big five leagues these days, so it's inevitable some go under the radar. For @TheTransferFlow: I highlight a few in what will hopefully becomes an annual tradition.
Here are the Mikkel Damsgaard All-Stars:

The inspiration came from Zach Lowe, who used to do this bit in the NBA every year dating back to the early 2010s. I'll hopefully get it to be an entire Starting XI in future iterations youtube.com/watch?v=0HiMya52…
