I went to secure bail for my sons, but they demanded I pay 500k for each of them and we did not have the money. Now that our children have died, we are asking for their bodies so we can bury them. We don't want our children kept in the mortuary, we are Muslims. Please release their bodies to us for a proper burial

I dropped mine on Monday and for the first time in in about 2 years, my boss is using statements like "Nagode kwarai" meaning thank you very much.

And we wonder why this country is still like this.
Pantami left office some almost 4 years ago, but he is the one being blamed for FRSC scam happening NOW.
Bosun Tijani is comfortably being absolved.
Nah men. Some of you will forever stay exactly where you are because you're incapable of the truth, talk more of accountability.
Hold Pantami liable for what his administration did and caused, and hold the current one for his.
Nah men. Human beings no get part 2.

The Chinese entrepreneurs borrow at 2% and are powered by 4,000,000 Megawatts of electricity.
These are the people you want to compete against with 4000MW and 40% interest rate?
Lol.
You people must love the sound of your own voices.

When the Chinese enter housing fully that’s when the housing bubble will burst.
The expensive thing will just be the land. I suspect they will introduce vertical construction to also save and even out those costs.
This is a prophecy.

Will you be saying this if the Chinese were to be selling petrol for N500 to compete with Dangote and importers?
All of a sudden, poor Nigerians and minimum wage earners no longer matter.

The T-shirts some Igbo traders sell to Lagosians for ₦18,000 is being sold by the Chinese for the same quality at just ₦4,000. These Igbo traders are terrible.
Chinese companies must stay!

Bokku sells bread for ₦1,100, some people go into Bokku, buy in bulk, & sell on the street for as much as ₦1,700.
Consumers like me buy for ₦1,700 cos Bokku is far from me. Now that i have a Bokku store near me, i buy bread for ₦1,100, but middleman is crying & angry at Bokku because i now have a cheaper alternative.

OPay started with ORide. Back then, rides within Ibadan cost as little as ₦100, and there were days I took a ride from UI to Olomi for absolutely ₦0.
People wondered: How exactly were they making money?
Looking back, those aggressive prices were less about immediate profit and more about building a massive user base and getting people deeply familiar with the OPay ecosystem.
The rest, as they say, is history, this is the same model the Chinese are using in Nigeria.
Give it 3-5 years, they dominate everywhere in Nigeria and people will trust them like we all trust OPay today.

Who’s crying about the Chinese? I went to Balogun Market to buy jeans. They said one is 30,000. My 100,000, could not buy more than four. I took a train to Ibadan and went to that Chinese Warehouse. I came back with a truckload of quality jeans.
Please leave the Chinese for me.
The way I’m so happy about the Chinese competition in Nigeria these days, you can’t even understand. 😂
Tell me, as a Nigerian seller, you buy something from China for ₦1,500. Add shipping, clearing and everything, and your landed cost is maybe ₦3,000. Why are you now selling that same thing for ₦8,000 to retailers who still have to resell it?
Then when Chinese sellers start beating down your prices, you’re protesting?
Me sef, I dun leave my local vendor because of competition. I found a legit Chinese vendor with different warehouses and better prices. If you’re serious about clothing business and you have just ₦50k to start, there are vendors I can point you to where you can actually buy, sell and make profit.
Because if you’re buying one bundle of round-neck T-shirts for ₦80k, how much do you expect to sell them for?
Everything is competition. The more competitive your price is, the more people will patronize you. I honestly don’t see what the protest is solving. 😂
