Fellas, that stack exchange answer is perfect and clear AF. But annoyingly they leave off the part where the left hand side (bra) is introduced to the matrix element (bra-ket). If my second years can pick it up so can you. I'll post my lecture slides tomorrow (@ me if I forget)
