If you agree @CAGovernor @GavinNewsom's ban on fracking is a good start, but insufficient, sign our petition now urging him to:
🛑STOP issuing new oil permits TODAY
💧 DROP oil production starting IMMEDIATELY
🌇ROLL out 2500ft setbacks NOW

.@CAgovernor: Mothers are outraged at this threat to children's health and safety. This powerful reporting shows why: grist.org/project/accountabi…
How much longer do we need to wait for #Setbacks?!
.@WadeCrowfoot, .@TrusteeNtuk: step up & make it happen! #NoDrillingWhereWereLiving
While @Cagovernor Gavin Newsom talks about being a "climate leader," there are at least 392 schools in California within a half-mile of toxic drill sites.
@GavinNewsom @WadeCrowfoot @TrusteeNtuk your inaction is killing us.

Good health + good jobs + stable climate = #CAClimateJobs
We don’t have to choose between our health and our jobs. A new report endorsed by 19 unions showed that CA could create 418,000 clean energy jobs per year AND cut climate pollution in 1/2 over 10 years! #CAClimateJobs latimes.com/environment/news…

We grieve for the men killed, bereaved families & co-workers, VTA & all affected by the mass shooting in San Jose.🕯Donations can be made to the victims' families: wpusa.org.
We must do more than hold them in our thoughts: we need #GunReformNow. @VTA @southbaylabor
For shame, @CalEnergy! By not including these costs, you have betrayed our children & all CA residents. For climate safety, public health & cost savings, it's vital that CA transition to an all-electric building code in 2022! Even the IEA agrees! #DoYourHW! #ElectrifyEverything!
Wait. WHAT? The CEC didn't include the avoided cost of running gas to new buildings, nor climate&health benefits of avoided gas leakage from extraction and pipelines in evaluating all electric building codes! @SFBayPSR @MomsOutFrontCA @RockyMtnInst @350BAAction @SierraClubCA
VICTORY! TY@LACityCouncil @CD12LA for supporting the closure of the #AlisoCanyon gas facility!
Now moms insist that @CAgovernor @GavinNewsom commit to a real timeline, just transition process to #ShutAlisoDown.
@californiapuc is studying closure by 2027 or 2035 - that's too late!
This is a no-brainer. @CAlegislature, pass #AB713 for health equity & climate justice!
Ca's health &EJ advocates are asking @LorenaAD80 to invest in health equity as we solve the climate crisis by supporting #AB713 @CaClimateHealth @CMAdocs @climateplan @MomsOutFrontCA @ClimateResolve @SFBayPSR @PSRSac @enviRN @sunrisemvmt @EnvDefenseFund @HumanImpact_HIP @CCAEJ
Thanks to Adelita & Drucella of Mothers Out Front CA Capital Region for delivering hundreds of postcard signatures from around the state to the First Partner, urging her to advocate for buffer zones around toxic drilling.
.@JenSiebelNewsom will you be our #SetbacksAdvocate?🤞🏾💕

.@JenSiebelNewsom, thanks for helping kids access state parks in the #MayRevise budget! Now will you champion the safety of kids & adults who live near toxic drilling? Be our #SetbacksAdvocate & urge a moratorium on drilling within 2500' of homes, schools & other sensitive sites!
"Plugging & remediating oil wells is a critical next step to meet CA climate goals…all displaced fossil fuel workers & communities disproportionately impacted by pollution must be the first people who get access to these good jobs." -Veronica Wilson @LN4S lastchancealliance.org/newso…
❌ The CA legislature didn’t act.
❌ Gov. Newsom hasn’t acted.
❓ Will 1st Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom?
Ask her to speak up for 2 million Californians (disproportionately Black, Indigenous, Latinx & working class) living near drilling. #SetbacksNow ca.mothersoutfront.org/speak…
Psst! Have you signed our postcard to First Partner @JenSiebelNewsom yet? If not, now's your chance, before we deliver them tomorrow.
Ask her to advocate for health & safety buffer zones around toxic drilling to protect ALL of CA's kids. #SetbacksAdvocate
