Over 1 million players in 3 days!
I asked @Shalom_HeyEliy how it happened for Lagos Life, what broke, and if she’s selling for $100,000.
How Lagos Life Beat ChatGPT to 1 Million Users (in 3 Days)
Lagos Life went from 0 to 1 million users in just 3 days. I sat down with Shalom, the creator behind the game, to talk about how it was built, the traffic, the outages, the business, and what's next.

I'm looking for a job!
"Wait... I thought you loved working at Espresso?"
I did. But markets shift, strategies change, and companies have to make difficult decisions.
Unfortunately, I was affected by a recent round of layoffs. ↓

A lot of products are currently being built by African builders to solve this exact problem.
What we need isn't more apps. It's the infrastructure layer for these products to be built on.
That's where @tivafinance comes in.
Recently, @KaganTech showcased @payritHQ and how easy it is to spend stablecoins with their card.
That card runs on @tivafinance.
This is what it looks like when the layer exists;

Nigeria is ranked #1 in global USDT and USDC ownership.
Not the US. Not the UK. Not Singapore.
Nigeria.
59% of Nigerian crypto users hold USDT. 48% hold USDC. More than any other country surveyed. India is third. Brazil close behind.
The reason is obvious once you see it: in countries where local currency loses 20–40% of value annually, stablecoins aren't a crypto product. They're a savings account. A dollar-denominated store of value that doesn't require a US bank account.
Here's what the data doesn't show: most of those stablecoin holders can't use their USDT to buy anything.
No merchant acceptance. No subscription billing. No automatic payment. No way to pay a supplier. They hold the dollars. They can't spend the dollars. They convert back to fiat every time they need to transact.
The gap between stablecoin adoption and stablecoin utility is most visible not in San Francisco or Singapore. It's in Lagos, Jakarta, São Paulo.
$308B in circulation. The people who need stablecoin commerce most have the fewest tools to access it.
That's not a distribution problem. That's an infrastructure problem. The rails exist everywhere. The billing layer doesn't exist anywhere.
That's who we're building for.

Getting the sudden urge to move to a new country without over planning things.
not the smartest thing to do but what's the worse that could happen?
my number 1 advice is:
-don't date anyone who's not happy with where they currently are (even if they are still building/growing)
if they are unhappy, they'll most likely make you unhappy too.
my dating advice for the younger generations
- don't date crypto boys
- don't date people who don't have their shit together
-don't date potential. date reality
-you can't fix them
-date at your financial level or above
-don't date ugly people. you'll boost their ego and they'll become insufferable
-if you're into wellness, don't date someone who isn't.
-don't date someone who thinks crypto or ai is a scam
- don't trust men who drink lattes
- don't trust people that doesn't like pets
-don't date guys with a curated instagram
-don't date people who complain about small things in life
-if they don't take care of you when you're sick, leave
-if they say their ex is crazy, run
-don't believe everything they say
-don't date people who don't take creatine
Remote work means someone can disappear from your daily life, and you'd have no idea why.
Lost a colleague to silence last year, found out recently they'd been critically ill. They're recovering now, thankfully.
Check on people. Not just the work chat.

This isn't replacing any CMO.
Distribution isn't just about data; it's about reading the room and knowing which message lands, for which audience, at what moment. No agent is making that call for you.
This is a solid automation layer. Not a CMO.
Today we're introducing the world's first AI CMO.
Enter your website and it deploys a team of agents to help you get traffic and users.

What if there’s a private community for everyone building in the startup space in Africa on twitter?
And what if it’s actually well curated that everyone can’t just join, and you actually have to be building (doesn’t matter how small)
I’m going to bed now, Hopefully a couple of people RT this and startups founders across Africa are interested in this. ✌🏽
