Happy to see the @JOrthopRes Special Issue: Guiding the Future of Tendon Research is out! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/toc/…
Thanks to all who participated, especially @SoslowskyLab, @AFKuntz5, perspective paper authors, JOR editorial staff, and @NIH_NIAMS @NIHAging for the support!

Excited to share my latest publication in @JOrthopRes: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/… 🌟
We evaluated sex differences in regenerative tendon cell behavior using the super-healer MRL/MpJ mouse 🐁🧫🔬
We found key cellular features associated with the MRL/MpJ phenotype were conserved!

Congrats to the 2023 recipient of the Stryker/ORS Women's Research Fellowship: @carolyn_chlebek of the Rosen lab at @MaineHealth!
As a Stryker fellow, she will investigate bone quality in obese preclinical models following caloric restriction

CALS undergrad Genesis Contreras ’24 wanted to gain lab experience, but there was a challenge: Contreras relies on a service dog to warn her of sudden, debilitating headaches & fainting spells – & even service dogs are often prohibited in labs. news.cornell.edu/stories/202…

Excited to share our latest @NAP_Lab preprint investigating the role of sexual dimorphism in tendon regeneration!
Using scarless healing-associated metrics, we find that super-healer MRL/MpJ tendon cells display a universal regenerative phenotype 🧫🐁🔬

ALT Graphic of the experimental workflow for this study. We used skeletally mature (~16-18 weeks of age) primary cells isolated from the patellar tendons of "scar-mediated healer" B6 (top left) and "super-healer"/regenerative MRL/MpJ (top right) mice. We used both 2D and 3D culture platforms to investigate tendon cell behavior (via fluorescence microscopy) in response to different surface topographies and biochemical cues that are associated with homeostasis and healing.
