Over the last nine days, I have been informed that the powers that be have changed the rules regarding #CRL Community Broadcasts, meaning I will NOT be allowed to stream the Last Chance Qualifier. Before I explain, the LCQ is about the teams and the casters who ARE doing watch parties, so please ensure you enjoy their content tomorrow, as it will surely be one of the best single days of play all year. (ALL LINKS ARE SHOWN BELOW) As for current details: The rule change is quoted from CRL Administration as an image below, so for not having officially worked on CRL this semester or at all, that is their reason why I will not be permitted to stream the LCQ. Through conversations with the community, this rule is not being upheld in some circumstances; I am the only individual actually being held to this new change. I will save the majority of my thoughts for a video essay or article that will be coming out later this week or weekend as details develop, but this is extremely disappointing as someone who was not only coaching a CRL Championship roster last fall, but also has been hosting community broadcasts since CCA Summer Series 2024 and CRL Fall 2024. I have also been a certified "CCA Community Partner" in the Discord for many years now. I have been using my platform alongside others since I began commentating in 2023 to bring eyes to scholastic Rocket League, and I have been the most traveled Collegiate Rocket League caster in our scene through LANs and showcases, and work across multiple leagues. There is no question about my commitment to this game and to the development of High School RL and CRL. Even with all of that work, these are the final decisions from those at power, and I will share my thoughts at a more appropriate time later this week. Thank you to those who still support my content and enjoy the others' streams this weekend! @RLEsports @CollegeCarball

CECC made a bold decision, to let students tell the stories that thousands across the nation and world would tune in to watch during Championship Season in Collegiate Esports. Combine that with a brand new venue, select new staff members, and there was a lot of unknowns coming into this weekend. However, people forget that our industry was founded by current professionals starting their clubs and hosting LAN parties, when they were students. The competitors you bring on scholarship and the people you trust to manage them, or stream them, or create content about them, they are all students. Not only that, but one of the best parts of the current state of Scholastic Esports is that the bar is getting raised for competition and performance on all fronts. So even with these unknowns, not only was I surrounded by serious professionals who just happen to be undergraduate students, but some of the best possible representatives of their schools and what I believe is the entire student body. Our team was uber-prepared, extremely confident, and very well versed in every single player in Waco this year and I believe we put on a wonderful show for a “bunch of students.” Alongside a shoutout for my fellow talent, I also want to ensure I thank the many people who got me here to CECC, and helped shape by casting ability. To my Fiancé and my family, to @Freddymac48999 @Infernos1s @BepicCasts @neonnstarr @WBBChris you have all had a direct impact in my ability to travel to events, my talents as a broadcaster, and just getting my name in the hat of so many opportunities, and your support has meant the absolute world to me. I’m also very thankful to have a top tier education at @universityofga and represent the College of Journalism and the Sports Media program as of a few weeks ago! To my fellow talent below and to all CECC talent before us, thank you for making this event as notable as it is, and I hope our chapter has made you proud. @JackElliott_Pxp @nikitabair @reluscent @carson_kass @ZachMunsonBSU @mastrangeloPXP @SamTalkzTV I love my job, I love the people around me, and I can’t wait to wrap up the school year with the 3rd Dreamhack Atlanta Collegiate Invitational in a few weeks!!
