I hope that if I keep drawing my art will be good enough for someone to see it and immediately repost it on pinterest with no credits.

I’ve been trying to do the photo bashing technique going around today. The results are pretty ugly lol. Everyone else seems to get it to look so pretty but I think if I tried to insert any of these into my art they’d look wildly out of place.

Seeing so many people talk about photobashing foliage techniques makes me wonder how many artworks I’ve seen actually have photobashed backgrounds. I really like how added foliage looks so I want to get good at this so that adding it to my art can be easier

Most updates in the past few years have sucked but honestly I actually like the separation of tweets and retweets as an option. Sometimes I follow someone for their content but I don’t want to sift through all the unrelated things they retweet.

Instagram, this change made searching for specific hashtags literally impossible for no reason
wishing a thousand years of bloody diarrhea upon every app/site that made their search bar automatically double as an ai chatbox for some fucking reason

To everyone who has spent their life being expected to be someone they're not. You may have experienced people becoming uncomfortable when you opened up about who you are, or being pressured to stay silent instead. If you don't speak up, you're treated as if you don't exist. But if you keep pretending to be someone you're not, little by little, it begins to wear away at your sense of self. The truth is, that kind of pain can only be fully understood by those who have lived through it. For those who haven't, it can be difficult even to imagine. That's why I want to use my creative work to create a space where both I and the people who have supported me can be ourselves freely. Let's keep moving forward together.
🌈Happy Pride MonthπŸ’›πŸ€πŸ’œπŸ–€ Maybe you're someone who has spent your life being expected to be someone you're not. But that doesn't have to be the case anymore.

I do get that a lot of artists don’t like their work being used without permission no matter what. That being said though, I’d be really happy if someone wanted to use my art as their pfp. Only 2 rules: I should be credited, and it can’t be art of my sona
one thing i never understood about artists online is getting mad when people use their art as their pfp. whenever i catch somebody with something i made as their pfp i get really happy

Honestly for a while I thought I could become a content machine, but now I know I can't do that. Not for a long period of time. So hearing that drawing for myself is more sustainable and better in the long term is actually really comforting.
No shade, truly, but a lot of you only want to draw for the sake of attention. You don’t like to be told to β€œdraw for yourself” because you have no connection to art beyond the potential social capital it has. Art is not content.

I used to think I should reject the "draw for yourself" advice because I assumed it was just bad advice for hopefuls, and maybe it is, but surely it has some merit if most professionals/top freelancers say it?
