Don't think of LLMs as entities but as simulators. For example, when exploring a topic, don't ask:
"What do you think about xyz"?
There is no "you". Next time try:
"What would be a good group of people to explore xyz? What would they say?"
The LLM can channel/simulate many perspectives but it hasn't "thought about" xyz for a while and over time and formed its own opinions in the way we're used to. If you force it via the use of "you", it will give you something by adopting a personality embedding vector implied by the statistics of its finetuning data and then simulate that. It's fine to do, but there is a lot less mystique to it than I find people naively attribute to "asking an AI".

You either die building AGI or live long enough to be a meeting note taking app

Privacy-first AI is gonna boom, and as unexpected as it might sound, Apple is already quite ahead in the race.

A thread of some of the likely most unpopular and unconventional hot takes on software and programming.
All very personal opinions, most derived out of personal preferences, rather than logical/rational reasoning.
I don't necessarily apply all these in practice though.

💡 Being a code ninja can enable you to get started as a Software Engineer (SWE). However, in today’s top product companies, it isn’t enough to be great at just programming.
To be a successful SWE, you’ll need to understand the business domain as well. Let’s see why 👇

So for the first set of my two blogs for #neoBlog22,
I wanted to target the "Web" aspect of Web Development
I've written a blog to hopefully dumb down what happens when you search a URL and learn about how the web works
Special thanks to @neogcamp
