Tony Gilroy for Speaker!
I would actually like to sincerely thank Andor. It may be purely anecdotal, but I've seen folks on Facebook who have never spoken out politically and always leaned right, using Andor to express themselves for the first time and finally lean left.

Darth Vader going on record as thinking the Death Star was a really dumb idea. (Vader did think this) @Coruscant_Times
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

“Due to the destruction of Lincoln…” telling on yourself there 😂😂😂😂😂
Replying to @DataRepublican
If that's what it takes to control this country, then the country is already LOST. It stands for nothing and means nothing if it only can be handled outside of the structures our founding fathers originally set up, due to the destruction of Lincoln and later.

Captain America? Spider-Man? Kanan Jarrus? Ezra Bridger? Obi-Wan Kenobi? Plenty of white men heroes, these guys just aren’t worthy of them.

A cruel, corrupt old man manipulated Anakin into following him. Anakin himself killed Padme. Oh and Anakin betrayed and proved himself unworthy of the brotherhood he was so proud of. That’s the story. Something to ponder if you’d learned critical thinking.

So the person who “stole” this (other than Lucas never writing it) was a cruel, corrupt old man who manipulated Anakin into following him thus wiping out any hope of a peaceful family. Anakin himself killed Padme. There’s something to ponder if these guys could think critically

The right-wing Anakin posting does make a lot of sense as it combines many of the Right’s core preoccupations: getting groomed; killing your wife; working for an insane, octogenarian tyrant; being hated by your children; losing and dying

This stuff is bullshit in most European countries (which aren’t that old) but it’s stupid here. My ancestors came to Virginia in the 1750s and Ellis Island in 1905, then straight to California. Just where is ancestrally mine? It’s like having Krakow or Belfast to choose from.
Vance on El-Sayed: We have to understand what happens when our nation gives into these kinds of people with zero attachment to its land or to its history. What we saw in France, the hatred, the ingratitude, the desire to destroy rather than a desire to build, that exact same cancer that has corrupted El-Sayed.

Dort is right about this, and the proof is our Mideast bases getting schwacked despite 50 years of Iranian threat and 4 years of Ukraine case study showing the need to harden them. BUT—this means Kegseth failed in his duty to warn POTUS our unprepared military couldn’t deliver.
It is my professional assessment after decades in uniform that the single greatest threat to military readiness is the U.S. Army officer corps’ inability to tell the truth. For decades, the readiness culture has been built on literal lies, and must be rebuilt from the ground up.

Oh, bless their hearts, they are SO close to getting it.
If the Intelligence Community were intelligent, they wouldn't plan an insurrection over the internet. Per @DataRepublican special request.

This ad skirts a line with me, but “doesn’t Israel have universal health care?” could hit REALLY hard.
Apparently someone decided there was more rock bottom to hit after the ad with Amy Acton's mom. Not affiliated with El Sayed's campaign but he's certainly not going to disavow it. I'm not in the "anti-Israel rhetoric is antisemitic" camp but this is pretty bad

The right to run for office is enshrined in the Constitution. The fact that your name might be insignificant, or your motive is to be a spoiler, is irrelevant. The Other Dan Sullivan is a citizen with rights.
Dems placing a second Dan Sullivan on the ballot in Alaska (a fake candidate designed to conceal who is the actual US Senator running for re-election) is one of the most egregious attacks we have seen on the integrity of American elections. It reveals pure contempt for voters.

Because those countries are better off than we are and we should emulate them more, duh!
Trump: Why do we always take people from shithouse countries? Why can't we take people from Norway or Sweden?

These are not the actions of people who think they’ll ever have to be accountable for anything.
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska. According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary. Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine. The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives. The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia. According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate. The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing. The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company. Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same. ft.com/content/e9cfbfbb-e65a…

Dort here really working on his job application for the ISB @Coruscant_Times
It’s time for men to remember what they are. Humans who confront chaos and turn it into order by any means necessary. A man doesn’t negotiate with evil, he destroys it. In fact, God commands it. Living as a man is not just for you, it means the longer you stand then others will too. You must inspire others with your example. Always remember that courage and cowardice are both contagious. You owe nothing to your enemies, but defiance, contempt, and deterrence. Possessing the unforgiving spirit of the retaliator. When people say they want to annihilate you, believe them. Then stand your ground and make damn well sure they understand the brutal toll a man can exact when they cross that line. Never back down.
