people totally misunderstand what L-cancelling is and it poisons the discourse. "there's never a reason not to do it" is completely missing the point its part of the input required to do an aerial move, the decision making comes into play when you choose whether or not to aerial

the only remotely valid critique is hand pain, but very few top players even have hand pain these days because we all started taking better care of ourselves. I don't really buy that removing l-cancelling would have prevented the ergonomic crisis we went through previously

ending this thread by saying MORE pvp games should take their control scheme seriously and add strange requirements that force players to engage more seriously with what is happening on screen. L-cancelling is not only good, it is a type of design I would like to see more of
