for the next five years in crypto, only two things matter:
stablecoins + prediction markets
go all in and don't look back.

My approach to crypto security is and has been very simple....... I use exchanges and hot wallets mainly for P2P transactions and trading, then move funds I don't intend to trade into cold storage as soon as they clear. I prefer the inconvenience of moving funds back and forth to the risk of leaving my savings on an exchange. There is this popular saying that goes "Not your keys, not your coins!" and it simplifies everything #BinanceHack

Elon knows alot.
His troll on Binance hack contradicts lots of shits.
the binance hacker just did something genius and it should scare you
tether froze $1.5 billion in stolen USDT. circle froze $800 million in USDC. everyone's celebrating like the problem is solved
meanwhile the hacker deposited the stolen USDT on aave, borrowed ETH against it, and walked away. because USDT can be frozen. ETH can't
he's never paying it back. he doesn't need to
tether and circle just proved they can freeze billions in seconds. and the hacker just proved that if you know how defi actually works, none of that matters
the freeze saved some of the money. but the smartest money was already gone before anyone pressed the button

Six days to the VASP licensing deadline on 4 November and no local exchange has confirmed a licence yet. If you keep USDT or bitcoin on a Kenyan platform, worth deciding now where it sits going into that date. I would not leave a whole balance on one unlicensed app.

It is easy to talk and give ideas without taking action. I was challenged by many people, including members within the movement, to spearhead the volunteer efforts. For that reason, I came up with a volunteer registration form, attached below. If you WANT to volunteer to perform any task for LMM, please fill out the form below:

Dear @LindaMwananchi_
To win this coming election, we MUST run a campaign like nothing has been run before in Kenya. We cannot only rely on the old methods and hope to beat the veterans who have been doing those things for years!
First of all, the movement must realize where its greatest strength lies. LMM’s greatest strength comes from being owned by the young people. The hopeful, energetic, enthusiastic young people who are full of ideas. Linda Mwananchi MUST find an effective way to tap into this energy and brilliance.
My suggestion is to have a robust volunteer program which invites volunteers to the campaign, vets them, evaluates their abilities and assigns them roles in the campaign purely on a VOLUNTARY basis. The only thing such volunteers would need is recognition and assurance that the movement shall NEVER betray its core ideals.
This program if well run, has the potential to provide the largest group of boots on the ground in the entire nation. We have professionals such as medics, lawyers, teachers and others who are willing to volunteer. We also have creatives such as musicians, influencers and tiktokers who have already volunteered their services and are doing good work. They just need to be organized, focused and integrated into the formal structures of the movement.
Next, fundraising MUST not just be through the traditional pay bill means. Please let us get creative! Let us have merchandise on sale on the website where people can buy not only for themselves but also for others. Let us have an option for people to donate in kind. You may have someone who owns a car and wants to donate it, let them. Let there be a register of donations and personal acknowledgment to each donor.
After that, the manifesto must include all Kenyans, not just a few experts sitting and deciding what to do. Kenyans know the problems they face and they also know the solutions. Engage them more in conversations. Rallies are good but let us have many townhalls.
In fact, a town hall can even be virtual. The way we had twitter spaces and TikTok live to discuss Finance Bill and other oppressive laws in 2024. Let us have at least two of these every week with a principal of Linda Mwananchi and preferably H.E Sifuna. These are very low cost but very high impact activities. During those townhalls, we listen and take note of what Kenyans want.
These engagements will help the movement understand what to prioritize and to visualize how the first 100 days will look like.
All these activities ant structures should culminate in having soldiers all around the 55,000 polling stations. Willing believers who want to change our country for the better. With at least 20 per polling station, our message will reach every nook and cranny on of Kenya.
I am willing to be volunteer number 1 to give many more ideas that I have. @edwinsifuna @abbiezuena @genz___baddie @FredahOndu61763 @paulinenjoroge @gwamaee

True! Cross-border payments alone can get really complicated, especially with so many currencies and payment systems involved.

In August, Moove, a Nigerian Mobility Fintech, hit a $2.1 Billion valuation as a global tech unicorn. This is a sign of success not failure.
Yet, two months later, it shut down operations in Nigeria—the very market where it was born.
If a startup succeeding and leaving terrifies you more than a startup failing, you are paying attention. 🧵👇
